The balloon is missing an important detail; it is also slowly inflating, so you have too keep adding air while trying to inflate it.
Mars hasn't got strong enough gravitational and magnetic fields to retain a thicker atmosphere than it already has.
It 'leaks', so to speak.
So, unless we AT LEAST crank up the rotation of that tiny little core it will be living in bubbles (domes) or not at all.
If the necessary speed for a sufficing magnetic field is even possible.
This is stupid as fuck
Luckily people will always try, no matter what naysayers cry about.
‘Solar power station beaming energy back to earth’ aligns well with ‘technology we have today’. That tech is all theory with no practical timeline for its development, and while it could hypothetically be used in space in the vacuum good luck getting through the atmosphere.
The thing in my opinion is, when money is put into scientific adventures. It is always expensive but the knowledge gained is not to be underestimated. Many things we befit from today, were invented for space exploration, usually trying to solve problems unrelated to their everyday use now. These things range from LED's to MRI's. But also a lot a lot of fields (especially computers) developed way quicker because resources where being spend on the development.
I am not saying we should all go on vacation to mars but sending a team of 3-4 people there would make us acquire information and invent technologie (we would not have if we only sent robots),which might be surprisingly useful back at home.
This only makes sense if earth loses all its water, atmosphere and becomes irradiated. Why would you go to a planet that is much worst than this. Just send some robots, gather some data for science.
I’m sure this video has all the answers that all the people like Elon and everyone else doesn’t have they should learn from this right heheheh
If a global catastrophe happened on Earth, Earth would still be a better place to live than Mars.
The voice on your video made my daughter defecate all over her Lego
Mars colonization is the greatest hoax in this century and that Musk is a greatest Con ever.
Believe me we won't be able to visit Mars (manned mission) till 2100, later can't say. I won't be present at that time 😅😅
Maybe in another century we will be advanced enough to eventually terraform mars so itll be liveable but right now its impossible
