Why Man United DESERVED To Beat Man City

With just 5 minutes left in the Manchester derby, Pep Guardiola looked to have ground out an uninspiring 1-0 win… then Amad Diallo happened. In just 115 breathless seconds the young player first won a penalty from Nunes, then scored a stunning solo goal, to entirely turn the game on its head. A huge boost to Ruben Amorim, and an announcement that the youngster has arrived at the highest level.

Adam Clery looks at why his side more than deserved the three points, even if it took something miraculous to get them.

  1. The analysis you made about the 2 city defenders(Walker and Gvardiol) not dropping back for 2 existing and true reasons is some very high level analysis.

Love your content bro whatever the team may be you waxing lyrical about.

I am a United supporter so you have exposed how isht we are a couple of times deservedly so. But I will watch those video so that I can increase my anger as to how isht my team is.

    Keep the content coming.

  2. My only unpopular opinion, truly, is that Onana should be saving shots like the gvardiol header. Regardless of deflection, pace, etc, as a lifelong keeper myself, his reactions just aren't impressive to me. He's sat and stared at just too many shots in my opinion while at United. Granted, I was not an advocate for DDG's departure, and he is to this day my favorite number one to ever put on a united jersey, we just simply don't have a true shot stopper like we did with David. We really let a good one go. I try to be thoughtful and encouraging with a new keeper, and he's had some moments, but there just simply needs to be a higher standard for him and accountability. I've hardly heard anyone mention this. It can't just be me or a handful of keepers who think this. it SHOULD be addressed. I don't care how good he is with his feet (literally had a blunder and got scored on earlier in the week…), he should be told to step up his shot stopping or take a seat on the bench. It's so irritating, and no one says anything, EVER.

Otherwise, love the tactical breakdown, as usual. Anyway, keep up the good work.

  3. I don’t know if it’s possible to put this together in a few hours, but if they update MoTD properly when Lineker leaves, there should definitely be a spot for this kind of thing. Brilliant.

  4. You’re defending Maguire too much. Go back and watch oles last season, he was awful. An insane amount of unforced errors leading to goals.

That being said, he’s been quietly improving, and he suits the middle of the back 3, but eventually de ligt will move there and yoro will come in.

  5. You’re completely wrong about Maguire, he turned his career around under ten hag. He was awful under ole last year he was a bright spot he won a potm last season under ten hag. Agreed the narrative should change though

  6. Mmmm. Seems like you overlooked the fact that United actually played a 1- 9 -1 formation for most of the first 60 minutes but some of your other points are valid. A fair result based on possession and chances would probably have been 2-2 after united finally realised they might have to actually try and play some football in order to have a chance of winning. Personally, despite being a life long City fan, I'm kind of OK because I bet big on united coming back in to the game and I won £900. I could see the pattern developing as they decided to remove the bus they parked in front of their goal and showed some ambition. As in many recent games this season, City failed to adjust to this change in their opponents attitude and were punished. Pep will adapt and we'll move on and the rags just funded my xmas. It's all good man. Swing low and be happy. Love and peace. It's just a game remember.

  7. No talk of how good mazi played. Doku was out of sorts and that mfer is good af at putting the ball in. The few times he got the better of Mazi the back 3 were there to shut it down. Motm up until the 80th fir me was mazraoui!!

  8. The heat map shown does not correctly illustrates the presenters words on Bruno’s distance covered. Or is it the presenters words on Bruno’s distance covered is not accurately depicted on the heat map?

  9. I almost spit out my coffee when it was commented that Nunes pass "wasn't that bad." Wrong decision, executed in the worst possible fashion. His only defense is, he should never be playing fullback.

  10. They won by sheer luck!! This overview is BS 😂 , it was a bad back pass which created the penalty situation, allowing utd to come back, if that would not have happened the 3 points would have gone to city, the game was terrible the analysis is meh at best, sheer luck nothing more

  11. I guess a big chance is when the team works out an obvious and expected goal scoring opportunity.
Ciddys goal was fortunate by deflection and tbf a good header but not necessarily a "big" chance.
Brunos miss was a big chance.
Suppose it indicates how much a team is actually creating.
Have teams now worked ciddy out?

  12. For Amad there was a point where he realised he wasn’t going to get to the Martinez pass unless he stopped watching the ball and really stretched. That level of instinct and desire is just awesome. Finish was it scuffed but then often goals are. Speed is what is important. Love the vid

  13. I know the channel is very Prem focussed but would love you to look at some Serie A or at least Italian teams in the Champions league because tactically they’re so interesting. Great vid again mate
