Why Lever Action Guns Make Everything Epic – Marlin 1895

The Marlin 1895 SBL isn’t just a lever-action rifle—it’s a cinematic experience in your hands. Standing amidst rugged terrain, I’m drawn to this timeless masterpiece, even with a table full of machine guns behind me. Ruger has brought Marlin into a new era with this reimagined classic, blending stainless steel and wood into a symphony of tradition and modern precision.

Feel the raw power of the .45-70 Government cartridge, hear the satisfying clack of the spiral-fluted bolt, and embrace the epic adventure this rifle inspires. Whether it’s the threaded barrel for suppression, ghost ring sights for intuitive aiming, or its undeniable craftsmanship, the 1895 SBL is a lever-action renaissance.

Watch as I take this iconic rifle for a spin and channel my inner western hero, with a modern twist.

  1. Love Marlin rifles. From the quality, to the beauty of the wood grain and metal specs I would put them on the top of the list in terms of gun manufacturers. Love that they still keep the classic look with a touch of modern upgrades

  2. If anyone is interested, the laminated wood used for the stock on this rifle is made by Cousineau Wood Products in North Anson, Maine. I found this out a while ago and I just like sharing it just because it’s something most people don’t usually think about.

  3. Well if you are wearing the AKT1 blackouts then you probably have one that won't charge or turn on so it's just for looks and the other one probably beeps needlessly all the time because it won't stay connected to Bluetooth. So that great experience with that gorgeous rifle is ruined by crappy Chinese ear pro that sellouts continue to peddle on their videos to make a few bucks all the while ruining their credibility for honest reviews. Just STOP already with those. They are JUNK and you are ripping people off selling them

  4. I have a .357 and a 44 Magnum in Marlin CB limited. There's also a 30-30 CB limited. I hope Remington brings back these CB limited rifles in 45-70 and/or 444 Marlin. Please please please with a speed loader on top!!!

  5. When I think of Marlin, I think of the models 336 and 60. The 60 was a legend when growing up. It wasn't fancy but it was reliable and a work horse for small game hunting. The 336 felt like a solid hunk of steel. Again not fancy, but it felt like it was meant to slay deer. Whether it had a scope or not, you felt like you knew it was going to do what it was made to do. I don't currently own a Marlin firearm. But I can honestly say that if I was still into hunting, I would have another 336 for medium game, and a 60 or 75 for small game.
