Why "Just Giving In" is a Dangerous Option on Amnesty Registration

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses a common question we have been getting lately in regards to ATF’s New Rule on Pistol Stabilizing Braces, which is “why don’t I just go ahead and fill out a Form 1 now and get this over with?” Is that a viable option? Is there really any way to avoid this huge headache? Does a preemptive registration save the day for you? Probably not but you need to understand why so that you can start making some educated decisions. Learn more and arm yourself with education today.

  1. If filing a Form 1 you are seeking to manufacture an SBR via changing the brave to stock, so why can you not use the pistol in its current form until Form 1 approved? Of course having the stock already could be constructive possession blah blah.

  2. What if you keep everything but the brace. I use just the tube but add a Holosun sight, with a magnifier, and flip up back up sights. Pretend your am using a standard rifle buffer tube. no stock no brace of any kind? Do you have to even worry about this? Ke4ep the brace buried and wait for the courts to fix this.

  3. Why would anyone register a totally legal to own firearm?? I know everyone bought these legally so let’s own them FREELY!! Do not nor never comply with fake regulations!! If everyone complied then the fake rule would be considered past practice and there for stand!!

  4. If anyone complies with this they are foolish! You need to understand that they are chipping away at the stone which is the 2nd amendment. Give an inch they’ll take a mile and then some. This needs to stop with all of us. Not sure some people understand what the 2nd amendment truly means. Because….let’s be honest, if people truly understood…..we wouldn’t even be at this point with it all.

  5. I usually agree with William but I have 3 Suppressors, a concealed carry permit, 1 friend, no heirs, and a full time job. I'm registering mine as an SBR and paying my $200. I'm going to put a real stock, a suppressor, and probably an optic on it. Not going to wait and get caught in the amnesty quagmire.

  6. i’m thinking about finding a constitutional attorney and putting one on retainer for this very issue….i just can not give up my God given rights…when i worked oilfield i worked with radioactive materials as well as explosives and background checks use to be a yearly thing…but after 9-11 it was every six months and it seemed like every agency was represented the atf because of explosives the nrc and epa because of the radioactive material the fbi because of domestic terrorism threats 🙄 it was maddening
