Those things will shred buildings and infantry and alot of lightly armoured vehichles
Oldie but Goldie
This is from back in the sixties impressive
It's 12 years older than the f-16. It's hardly obsolete. Old, but still shoots. No point wasting new stuff.
so, Russia is trying get rid of old weapons???
Useful as a mini terminator to suppress enemy positions. Would be quite entertaining to use for indirect area fire as well.
These old AD weapon system are best used in clearing forest, tree lines, suppressing fire on buildings and reducing homes. A waste of ammo on drones and aircraft. Level the barrels at a ground target and fire devastation. Never assume to obvious
1:20 …if that's their obsolete stuff, I would not want to be in front of the business end of their newer gear…
The Germans and Americans and Arabs have all used anti aircraft cannons with great effect against ground targets. So the Russians finally figured this out too.
Glory to Russia and its people from the US
To shoot down any piece of flying gear the Ukrainians will ever have. The being drones
America gives them old modern bradleys from korean war why not Russia
Why they sending ? They use Shilkas in Cheachen war to obliterate high rise building imagine 4 x 23 mm 2A7 autocannons blowing building a part. Multipurpose vehicle also can be used to take drones .Old crap but going to do more that one job,
Russia may try a bit long-range antiair systems
Russias systems are the best than western abit more improvements and sophisticatio
shilkas ZSU-23s are combat proven AA systems !!!! nothing to look down on them !!!
For each fight you have to have .the type of weapon that interacts with the battlefield…so. God bless Russia ๐ท๐บ Slava โค๏ธ๐๐๐โ๏ธโ๏ธ
These systems have been updated all over the world. Countries found they are needed and capable.
Support for Rossia from Slovakia!!!
shilka is great system, for anti infantry and anti drone use, and with empty shells you can make ks23 shotguns!
win win situation, definiteley use 23mm shilkas and ks23 shotguns, both very effective!
i would also use 57mm anti air guns, in conjunction with all possible aa guns russia and friends have.
30mm, 23mm, 14.5mm, 37mm, 45mm, 85mm, 100mm, 115mm, 76.2mm.
old but gold.
6:40 that lory driver though ๐ฌ๐ฒ
good thinking president Putin smart intelligent and fearless ,ukrein is history wiped out deleted good news
why not, shilka can be used against everything on the ground and in the air.
They are very effective in ground suppression mode, but highly vulnerable to light anti tank weapons.
Nice looking shit for being old they really make things to last.
Still very much useful if upgraded with modernized guns and adding radars
All the keyboard warriors won't watch an unbiased clip of something like this. They will be far too busy, jumping down everyone's throat, while claiming 'our bombs are bigger and shinier than your bombs'. This will be perfect for AA tactics. Especially with the obvious massive usage of drones during the SMO. Meanwhile, the west are still arming Ukraine, which is using $400,000 missiles to down $20,000 drones. I don't care which side you support, those economic facts are not sustainable.
Thank you for the clip. We who are interested in real military hardware from all over the planet. I will watch more after finally finding your channel.
That's why. No building is cover with that. This war has shown everyone got it wrong
The background music sucks
Smart on their part why waste a AD missiles for $500 drones? This are meant for such thing
How may different types of Air Defense Systems does Russia have?
Obviously Russia is depleting it's stockpiles of old museum worthy hardware.
Problem will be when they start fielding the more recent shit designed and built in the end of the '90 and beginning of 2000s
They can also be used as anti personnel weapons…age doesn't matter…look at the .50 cal. browning, the Ma deuce…been in use almost 100 years, but still widely used in all roles by all branches of the U.S. military..
If I was infantry and saw that coming, say your prays.
Nothing old-fashioned about the destruction the Shilka can wreak in seconds…
Why not, they can protect their airfields with this systems..
Die Gute alte Schilka, sehr gutes Gerรคt . Macht alles platt in der Luft oder am Boden .
In Russia nothing is what it seems… they deceive themselves crap tec, corrupt state
To finish the Ukrainian off once and for all…. Straining the economic labour workers of Russia
The first satelite an Invention was by Russia. The Sputnik also still works and us a mist valuecofctodays Progress and modern age civilisation. Bravo ๐๏ธ๐๐๏ธ๐๐๏ธ๐
You dont want to have these things and not use them, to fire new tec on cheap drone dont make sence, so having these old banger will be a bonus.
And to Think that when it comes to China and Iran these would all be AI and un-maned – You then have to think "That Drone, Aircraft, Missile, Tank, Radar" are all "One AI Mind" This is no longer a call of "did they get our message?" un-maned and all One AI Mind.
The most realistic movie ever made is "Terminator" only in todays world there will be 50,000 Terminators all under One Single AI Mind.

In Bosnia we used AA guns in anti personel and material role with devastating effect. 23mm armour pearcers penetrate 3m of soil. No amount of duck and cover will help.
can it handle the javelin though ???????
This is one scary machine
