Why is it called Ol' Painless? Explaining Every Fallout 3 Unique Weapon

i used the fallout font smile emoji

Today, I try my hand at explaining every unique weapon of Fallout 3. I go over their stats relative to their standard version, I go over where they can be found, and most importantly, I go over their relevant references and explain why the unique weapon is named that way. Why is Eugene called Eugene? Why is The Shocker called The Shocker? I’ve got all (read: most) the answers!

(and yes, that is every unique fallout 3 weapon in the thumbnail)

I do plan on doing this for each Fallout game with unique weapons, but this video took quite a while to script, so it’ll be some time before I get to work on those.

If you liked the video, please share, comment, and subscribe. It helps the channel immensely,

Have a good rest of your day,

Cheers!

  1. Great video! Are you planning on doing a similar one on new vegas or 4? Or one about 3's armor? Also I think the crit issue with protectron's gaze, that you mentioned, also applies to the paulson's revolver and metal blaster.

  2. The Shocker fits better with the superhero, because if you think about it, the Power Fist is pneumatic, it uses blasts of air to move the pistons and strengthen the damage. This could just be speculation but it make sense to me.

  3. The Samurai's Sword is called that because it belongs to the NPC Toshiro Kago from Mothership Zeta DLC. Dude is a samurai from feudal japan who was abducted by the aliens.
