Why I'm Going To Have To Change My Plans (And That's A GOOD Thing)

Now that I’ve successfully clogged up my email inbox, I figured it would be time to explain the next steps following on from the community meet-up video. I wasn’t sure how popular it would be but I’ve been blown away by the responses.

PS – This video was filmed just before the weekend.

  1. Aside from the aspect of not being able to meet or talk to you, as long as numbers were controlled or a suitable place, it gives owners a chance to talk to other owners about thoughts, likes, gripes etc. I used to attend car shows ,but some comments have given me a feeling they would prefer not to see an ev at there noisy and flash ice cars, pity really. I would quite happily socialise with others that have a more positive view on evs. M3LR is mine.

  2. I forsee an unintended consequences of a meet and greet, a headline in The Sun showing a pic of rammed charging hub and a headline along the lines of "massive queues for charging on a quiet Tuesday afternoon prove EVs not practical" . And on that subject let me know if you ever plan a visit to Tesla Winnersh SC hub, coffee on me. And talking of coffee have you considered a ko-fi or a buy me a coffee link?

  3. I have found EV charging to be a sociable experience many times with new owners needing assistance or chatting about experiences. This does sound like a great chance for some of us to catch up. Thanks Dave.

  4. Put Kent on the list 🙃 I have found a different type of person when charging .. all have been interesting – I guess it is because of who can afford one. The best was a guy in a Porsche Taycan heading to the Channel Tunnel. He had a big rolled up rug filling up the rear of the car which he was apparently taking to his own Ski Lodge in Switzerland 😉😁

EV Airport Transfers in Swindon. Yes that’s correct I’m running 100% electric vehicles for airport transfers ⚡️
I’m always happy to miff-bust long distance travel in an EV
