  1. I will say, everyone sucks at these games at first and gets to that road block that you mentioned. And a lot of people bounce off at that point, which I think is fair. But I sincerely believe, that if you are willing to keep going through it, you'll overcome and realize you are far better at the games than you realize. I don't think there's any of us who haven't literally had to grind for HOURS on a specific boss. I guess it's just a matter of taste at that point, but I think a part of the charm of these games is learning to enjoy that process of failure. If you die, it's just another opportunity to play a cool boss that seems unsurmountable at first. The progression is learning something new after each attempt. I think if you're getting frustrated with a boss (which we all do), it means you're comin at it from the wrong perspective and need a break to shake everything loose. When you come to a fight like that, I think it should be fun to lose and try again, and that's the mental state you got to get into. Not that you asked, lol, just my 2 cents. Anyway, I hope you enjoy er

  2. If you keep failing at a fromsoft game but you know you have the raw skill than it means you are screwing up your build. Maybe you should watch a build guide to help you optimize your playstyle.

  3. My tip is to have patience
Even if it’s hard, try and challenges yourself to be great at the game
Dark souls and bloodborne are literally amazing when you get good at them
It’s just the first few steps that’s difficult then after that it’s easy going

  4. This will be my first time playing these type of games I played nioh and I enjoyed the reward for learning when to punish the boss and when to be on defense I'm supper excited for the game.

  5. I've played all these games and I too am crap, I usually get help to finish bosses as I have no patience. I love those worlds so much, the atmosphere, the RPG elements. Elden Ring will be amazing. And to be honest I think it will be easier – more useful items and summons help, less reliance on pure action like Sekiro.

  6. This will be the easiest FS game to play solo due to how open the game will be, if you get stuck you can explore somewhere else for 20+ hours and it'll still be progress and you come back even stronger and more well equipped to where you struggled before, the difficulty always gets easier if you focus on its RPG mechanics and the tools that are available to you rather than skill alone

  7. You will have an even better chance of beating Elden ring then all From Software games before. Just take it slow explore, build your character, and practice a lot. I thought I'll never beat Dark Souls 3, now I have plyed it through three times. The first time Midir took me more than SIX hours the last time I killed it the first attempt (with a bit of luck of course). I remember the first playthrough many bosses gave me a very hard time. (And to be hones some of them make me sweat even now. But they can be beaten.)

  8. the launch day and subsequent honeymoon with the game's initial release will be absolutely magical. no one knows where the fuck anything is or what the hell is going on. people will be talking about cool shit and places they found all day. it will be a period of pure and utter discovery through trial and error, accidentally wandering into an area that kicks your shit in, leaving it alone and then coming back to it with a vengeance a full day of play time later to crack that nut wide open and get it to reveal its secrets

  9. The fact that you admit you can’t beat these games yet still respect the vision of the studio and not ask for an easy mode warrants some serious props dude. Thanks for setting a great example

  10. The journalists are going to leave a scathing review because they suck. And if they use phantoms to tank the game/ bosses, their review will be disingenuous and influenced by their experiences playing the game coop and not solo. They are hacks.
