Fascinating journalism, but I take issue with how fragile they take workers to be, as though every job should be light and easy because people can't handle tough work. People shouldn't be treated as though they are snowflakes for they will start to see themselves that way. The achievements of these companies are amazing and laudable, just as the workers who make it possible.
Watching these people who are being exploited talk so enthusiastically is what keeps us in chains.
Remember, A better world is possible.

I've been a truck driver for 20 years and have a good paying job, my company can't find new drivers , no one wants these jobs anymore, want more drivers then pay them more money, pay them while they wait in line for freight or watch the supply chains get worse and worse!

The only unsustainable expectation was that governments wouldn't find SOME excuse to get in the way of efficiently functioning markets and commercial trade. The (in retrospect, completely unnecessary) pandemic shut downs just so happened to be the thing.
Companies should learn that if they pay their people decent amount of money that commerce in every aspect of life will increase.
Yeah extra1,000 bucks after unemployment and nothing else to do I'm not saying people didn't need help but when they're making double all of a sudden they're sitting at home all day they just want to buy stuff the government through the economist for a loop
