Do you know why they kill horses with broken legs? This is sometimes portrayed as a crime committed with brutal emotions and horse owners enjoy it, but that is not the case. Aside from the absurd bond horse owners have with their horses, the leg bones of horses are much thicker than humans’ and can carry much more load. When the bone is larger than the point at which it will break, the bone usually breaks by breaking into very small pieces from many points. Especially in large horses, it was not possible for them to fuse properly in the past. These broken bones caused inflammation in the tissues they were stuck in and therefore caused the horse to die in a much more painful way. For this reason, horse owners had a difficult time. But now, thanks to modern science, we can heal the broken legs of many horses and euthanasia is much less necessary.
