The government has launched an independent review into the water industry in the wake of public outcry over bills, bonuses and sewage pollution.
Susanna asks Environment Secretary Steve Reed if they’re not renationalising the water industry because they don’t want to or can’t afford to.

OK, you're media, so we don't expect much. But how have even you not seen that, from a debt-free start on privatisation, really greedy people have had their water companies borrow hundreds of millions – not to improve their water companies but to pay themselves by making themselves ridiculous dividends. Theft pure and simple. Now that is the story you should be telling. WHY ARE YOU NOT?
Once you realise that the people who OWN these companies have more power than the wet wipes and will NOT allow anyone to remove their over inflated salaries as well as the humongous bonuses, maybe then you get the gist of things. Oh, and don't forget the shares and dividends they all have
All these problems yet these scumbag politicians are shipping in millions of dependant third world people , the housing crisis is completely down to these politicians, they are outright destroying our nations , this is happening in every western country ,in fact these vile treasonous politicians say our civilised nations are too White.
The companies involved have rinsed profits without spending a penny back on infrastructure for far too long now. Its cheaper for these companies to dump sewerage in our waterways than pay the pathetic fines. Of course our labour government now want to step in and put that burden on the taxpayer. Perhaps these companies can just pay more carbon tax and then any polution is not a problem, it worked for coca cola and other huge polluters that are wef members!
Labour are, quite frankly, in too deep. They do not have the capability to sort anything out…water…energy…NHS…defence…pensions…the list is long and Labour have not got what it takes.

Could it also be that the owners of the companies which often are owned by companies linked to other nations have put pressure on Starmer?
In principle privatisation was a good idea because public ownership was expensive, slow and full of dead wood. Privatisation changed that and for a few years lots of activity occurred but then others saw it as a profit centre because the overseeing organisation OFFWATT was manipulated and we now have this sordid set of foreign owned organisation caring not a jot for our country or the public monopoly they are supposed to run. The politicians are wholly to blame for letting the public criteria of the monopoly be sic watered down.
Funny that they are all "Labour" staffers and not Tory or Reform. Typical

Sewage systems are not geared up for all the new houses etc that have been built without upgrading the sewage systems. Amazing the amount of money those running it have made over the years
