He was a patriot of the Sith but a perfect example of why the Sith and The Dark Side are terrible to run a society. Sure he and his philosophy were great for the battlefield but at home and for the empire it would be very unstable and implosion inevitable. This is why Bane's Rule of Two was far more successful.

Hmmmmm yess Malgus definitely was a huge inspiration for Sideous I would like to think he got the idea of using droids for the clone wars as his army was taking tips from Malgas play book.
That fact jedi and sith mortal enemies joined forces proves him right but also from a certain point of view he is the great uniter a saint who successfully mixed oil and water
Ironically he was an ardent patriot to the core believing that a strong empire was not just possible but completely achievable with strong leadership. Not even necessarily his own as he believed that Marr and tanaris were good leaders.
The problem is he also deeply believed that the emperor was corrupt to the core and leading his faction to ruin for personal gain. Spoiler he was right on the money. Vitiate gave no shits about the empire. To him it was just a tool. A tool to use and throw away. By the time they caught on it was to late and he was long gone doing his own thing to care about there fate as they were to blind to see reality a reality they are still blind to
You all just realize Malgus was just a Darth Varder rip-off, right? lol I mean, he was a cool character, but don't get it twisted here. The irony, way after the fact, writers use Malgus as the model Vader should have taken.
Darth Malgus was a great Sith warrior but a bad leader and he will be remembered as a fake emperor of a fake Sith Empire.
Malgus was a true sith. Broke free of his chains. Had no attachments. He fully embraced the dark side. Something darth vader couldnt do.

A solud video and truly a great character that should be used in current Star Wars series but the ones in charge are no different than the Sith in charge of Malgus or Bane's era sith, foolish and weak minded never seeing the true potential for great stories and characters want their own characters to shine when the simple reality is non if them could when compared to the all time greats of both jedi and sitn.
