  1. Pax Vobis!

This was actually really funny and informative, as well as non-biased. It was always strange to me that Christmas was not Christ's Birthday, but makes sense practically, so that Romans would find it easier to convert. Christianity is the oldest continuous major faith in the west, and it's not hard to see why. What the pagan faiths lacked was a common sense approach to morality. That bit about wives serving their husbands was funny as well, don't forget that In virtually all historical civilizations, even in other faiths, Men were seen as the head of the household.
Women are cool too :). God bless you all.

  2. HOW TO BE SAVED:
There Is only one God, in three persons, God theFather, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. ONEGod. Humans are ONE person (in three parts) The body, soul and spirit.Three parts, ONE person. The Bible says that we are all sinners. As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one. Romans 3:10 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God.Romans 3:23 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6 For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 (The word death in this verse means eternal separation from God in hell). Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18 Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1Corinthians 15:3-8 In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14 For by grace ye are saved, through faith; and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2:21 If you would like to receive Jesus as your Savior. Realize that you are a hopeless sinner and tell Jesus that you trust in Him and only Him to save you from hell. Your trust in Jesus and His shed blood on the cross to pay for your sins, is what saves you from hell. The moment you trust in Jesus and only Jesus, you are saved. Then, you should be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

  3. Jesus was a jew who was just a blasphemer in the eyes of his Abrahamic tradition. Like a typical Abrahamic believer an Orthodox jew would hate him for claiming that he was the son of God himself while Jews were staunchly opposed to such human like narratives about God. They ensured that he got punishment but this time it was under Roman authority. So he was "crucified" and the crucifix became the holy cross of the Christianity. In real it was just a horrible punishment meted out to people who posed harm to the empire itself. Jesus was seen as a potential hero of Jews who wanted to rebel against Rome by the Romans like they did before. Orthodox Jews on the other hand saw him as a blasphemer fit to die.

Jesus thus became the saviour of people who were sidelined by the mainstream society like he himself was by his own people. Christianity was a non entity in Roman Empire and was popular among nobodies who wanted to feel important. When it bared its Abrahamic fangs Roman authorities considered it another mischief after Jewish monotheism and naturally persecuted it

  4. Thats a mistranslation of Eph 5:22. Its not: "As if it[The Husband] were the Lord himself". Rather, as in almost all english translations of the bible: "As TO the Lord", meaning your service to your husband is done not because you treat him as God, but because by being a servant, you honor God. Christ was a servant in his earthly ministry(Matthew 20:28), so we as Christians ought to model his lifestyle as well, not just women, but men also.

  5. Christianity was appealing because it taught that peace and being good to your fellow man were good things. In a might makes right kind of world, the lord is only the lord of a dumpheap. Most people will choose cooperation only if they can rely on it being reciprocated, otherwise they become the suckers. If the fear of god lead to enough cooperative behavior to create a high trust society, a civilization that's just better and more livable overall is possible. While we've grown out of Christianity, and to a certain extent it started becoming a hinderance once scientific observation began contradicting it in the 1600s, I don't think we could have got that far in the first place without it.

  6. 1:42 is complete bs wtf. less than 10% of the population could read, people were not reading the bible. And books were not being mass produced, so there weren't that many bookshops. Like why did you have to lie right there. This video was captivating too so i'm disappointed

  7. Christian Romans were the strongest Romans. They defended the Empire at the worst of its times and won more often than not. These Romans outlasted the Huns. It is a shame Attila is remembered as a victor rather than the man who lost two separate invasion attempts of Western Rome. The Christian Romans also recaptured Italy in the 500's AD.

Also, the Germanics who overthrew the Western Roman Empire were mostly Christian at the time too, although many believed the Arian heresy.
