  1. I can't believe how hard it was to find your video after stumbling upon your Tiktok about it, what a shame! It was amazing, you deserve a lot more visibility (anyway you gained at least one subscriber today, great video!)

  2. THIS IS SO INTERESTING!! All the work you put into this research was so important! I hope it reaches even more people (also, I can't wait to hear your take on the AMC's Interview with the Vampire series)

  3. asked my bisexual boyfriend how he felt about vampires and he said 'theyre ok'… i feel betrayed, its like i dont even know him anymore.. a bisexual who's neutral about vampires…. such a thing can exist..??

  4. I'm not bisexual(maybe? I'm questioning), but I was obsessed with vampires when I was younger.
I was shocked when I saw this in my recommended and felt little called out.

  5. This is like the 8th video essay I've seen on bisexual vampires and I'm very much here for it and I'm proud of myself for having a YouTube algorithm that knows I would like s*** like this and not having to come from tik tok

  6. Great video, but I'm kinda sad you didn't talk about Carmilla. Maybe it's because lesbian media and not a bi one, but it inspired Dracula and furthered connection 'vampires = queerness'. Also hii from another Eastern European who loves vampires

  7. My heart aches every time I meet vampire lovers, because they do not know Miss Christina, a female strigoi (vampire-adjacent demon being, a regional, Romanian variant of the og umpir or however were they called) from the story bearing the same name, written by Mircea Eliade. (There are also 2 movies but… I like the novella too much lmao. I havent seen them). Like she is so cool. She also was part of my awakening but she is so cool regardless. Like she is one of the only female strigoi I have ever met in stories, even though this is a modern piece of literature- shes cannon okay? I love her

  8. Thank you for mentioning Polidori, I feel like he's often overshadowed by Stoker. I would like to add two more works to the early queer vampire lore. Christabel by Samuel Taylor Coleridge is an unfinished poem about some kind of demonic woman who seduces another woman. Since it's unfinished, it's unclear if she is a vampire, but Carmilla (Christabel being often called inspiration for it) is explicitly about lesbian vampire. Both were published before Dracula, Christabel even before The Vampyre! Byron knew Coleridge, having visited him and Wordsworth when there were living together in Lake District. Highly recommend reading both Christabel and Carmilla, they're very similar, I feel like Carmilla is what Christabel would look like if Coleridge had finished his poem. Gothic, erotic and also pretty gay 🖤🦇

  9. Incredible video! Im queer and neurodivergent, and the otherness of monsterous characters has always really connected with me. The inherent queerness of vampires as well as the monsterous apects and general otherness is a part of the reason for this, and i really feel like the target audience here. This whole video was just so interesting, also happy pride <333
