artemis 1 moon mission orion spacecraft space launch system

I hope everything goes well on the 29th.🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for this clear explanation and information.
2:30 “It is equipped with solar panels.” YOU DON'T SAY!!! Solar panels, the novel technology, first time in space!!!
We have to rethink the policies that got us 🇺🇸 into this situation!!! I know we have to wait until 2024,to even think of doing anything about it!! But in the mean time, I think the deal that is pending with Iran has got to be flushed with all the other policies of this administration!!! There just giving away our country to the highest bidder!! PLEASE LORD PROTECT US FROM OURSELVES,AND FROM THIS ADMINISTRATION!!!🙏
I really hope this works it's our first step. But I wouldn't call it a shuttle it's more of a capsule.
I hope china and the us start working together. That would be awesome. So much more could be achieved
Can you really call Orion a shuttle?
Nice planning, shame if ww3 starts soon
Why Artemis can't succeed!!! The politicians are used to getting regular kickbacks when voting for funding. They will launch it just to get rid of the evidence….then get a trillion dollars and another 54 years to circle the moon only this time "unmanned" I wouldn't fly in that junk.
Maybe this is why China and Russia are waging War To Stop the United States on Making Lunar BAse!
What is it with this obsession with Mars? What is over there so important they secretly desire and absolutely must have it? The reason given is totally nefarious, insanely ludicrous, and a joke at best. They're going to save humanity by… Utilizing a totally barren dry wasteland, that is not only eternally dry and inhospitable, is biologically detrimental, and absolutely unforgiving! With no moon for women's reproductive system to function, no food or vegetation whatsoever, no water, no oxygen, not enough gravity, no magnetosphere, everything a human being cannot live without? Is that it? And get this, by destroying earths atmosphere in the process!!! With all the rockets being used for so many years, they've been poisoning the Earth! Destroying the very air absolutely everything here needs to survive, and further endangering humanity's chances of surviving, they are the reason we must save ourselves! The rockets are the reason we need a new planet in the first place, and all the burning of all fossil fuels as well! They are the ones insuring we need a new home planet to begin with? Human beings will never be able to live on Mars, reproduce, and have sustainable habitats or colony's, period. Anything capable of living on Mars would no longer be human. Instead of just cleaning up and fixing their mess and stop destroying the Earth. Wonders never cease.
Great vid!
Artemis 1 is the most powerful rocket now but it wont be soon. Space X Starship will be.
I watched this whole thing at 2x rate. The ONLY answer to the title question I can piece together, is that China is racing toward the moon as well. There are no other consequences for a failure of Aremis 1 mentioned.
I'm not enjoying the videos as much as I used to. I've noticed a difference in Astrum's videos of late. More recent ones feel like paid for advertisements. Something seems off. Paranoia? Maybe…
ruh roh….
Are they building Artemis 2 already?
Keep your fingers crossed that the American economy does not tank before the funding is in place. Maybe if you stopped chucking away billions of dollars on weapons to a lost cause in Ukraine, it might help..
1 day 10 min to launch
It’s not the most powerful rocket ever built.
When it gets to orbit, it will be the most powerful rocket to reach orbit, but it’s less powerful than the N1, and Starship.
It’s debatable as to whether Starship is fully built, but the N1 was built and launched. It just didn’t get very high off the ground…
Slept for 50 years and then going to use an obviously obsolete technique developed before the Spaceshuttle time? Whatever, I wish them to be successful
Will Artemis 1 livestream the surface by chance? It would be really amazing to look at the surface in great quality.
I just can't accept ARTEMIS based on 50 year old technology. T+1 a mushroom cloud will envelop the launch tower, and NASA will be out of the rocket business. Let them build telescopes, they know how to do that! Every commercial rocket company is more advanced than NASA.
And they say Global Warming is important…
Elon Musk gonna do something ridiculous on Monday to try and draw attention away from this. Bank it
If it fails, guess china or private companies are meant tp take over the moon, it be sad
Male and female biology???…. did you just assume the gender of a biological entity?
This is not allowed, even at NASA, apparently.
Yeah, if the US fails this mission will they just give up while China, Russia, Korea, Japan, India, Italy etc etc make progress? I don't think so. This is a failure-is-not-an-option scenario even if it requires multiple attempts to get it right
The moment I heard artemis, no man's sky came to mind. Pretty much the same thing
Ah, China is slowly catching up with US with regards to space, so NASA decided to unmothball some of it's cold war era equipment (engines, boosters), strap it together and send it to the moon again. For over 2bln dollars per launch. Because NASA's doesn't just reuses cold war era quipment, but also the mindset : costs don't matter as long as we get there.
Let's see how that mindset will work for them in current current day and age of economic depression and privatization of space transport.
Translunar Injection? What? Another vaccine? in orbit even? 😜
If we can make the moon like earth ,then thats it! We made it, overpopulation solved
Why is this mission using old Boeing-NASA technology for the rocket design? They should be using & embracing Space X technology, isn't it like way cheaper?
It is not the dawn of a new space exploration. Humans can not survive on an other planet for a long time period without changing their DNA.
Fifty years since the last claimed manned moon landing, and you think humans are going back there on another tin can rocket?. NASA pour billions of dollars into this nonsense, and all we get are cartoons and computer generated images.
Hope it goes well but it's a completely obsolete rocket. The whole program is basically just to fund defense and aerospace contractors. Would have been nice if they used our taxes to fund an innovative program.
the left's obsession with women in stem is hysterical
Don’t worry guys I will send y’all safe and sound in space time
Moon open for tourism? Sweet! Just let me quickly become ultra rich then I’m on board.
