  1. That actually is a valid question. She could've been used to kill meruem. However, a nuke with Netero as sacrifice would be less risky then using Alluka (considering nobody knew that Killua could control her).

  2. Nanika, like Silva said, wasn’t from this world. Manga Spoiler ahead: Nanika is a calamity. I’m guessing that if one impossible wish is made or a wish that is extremely beyond what is possible could cause thousands or even millions of lives, hence the term calamity.

  3. Just wanna clarify this, Alluka is not a trans. Also, just because someone is stating the truth doesn't mean he/she is a transphobic. As a Japanese myself who knows the actual language and someone who read the manga, the translation is sometimes very inaccurate. Alluka is referred by her family in a neutral gender pronoun not "male." Killua later on confirmed that she is a girl. No disrespect to your community, but stop spreading the misinformation.

  4. Species called "transidae" are easily triggered with the slightest disagreement. Their main objective is to spread their seeds throughout the world including schools, universities and anime communities.

  5. I hope youve got someone filtering these comments 💀 full spoilers or agenda pushing. Long story short western viewers/readers have taken one poor example and decided what the author is trying to do with his language use in all future examples.

First Pitou is female, many english readers spread this narrative of her gender being male because of the use of the word "boku" to describe herself, which is mostly a male pronoun (although is often used by female singers), but the chimera ants memories are linked to the food source and the most likely scenario is that she inherited some of her identity from a male eaten by the queen. There are no other references to male ever being associated to her besides that one word.

It's not uncommon for influential or royal families to have a preference for sons, obscuring a childs gender is commonplace and in fact happens in the 2nd post-anime arc (minor manga plot detail ahead) to refer to a group of royal sons and daughters all as "princes". In all likelihood BOTH Alluka and Kalluto are female, and are simply being referred to as "Zoldyck brothers" to group them. (again theres no other references to gender besides this one word, and its only used to people outside the family and is even used by Killua).

  6. Please don't pay attention to the transphobes. Alluka is one of the various lgbtq+ characters that Togashi has written in his works. She's a trans girl, born biologically male (Illumi refers to her as his brother, his father as "it" because he refuses to see a person behind the "monster") but she identifies as a girl. Killua is the only one who loves and respects her so he refers to her as a girl, explicitly so (one single eccepiton is when talking to ppl outside the family about her, for safety reasons).

Transphobes will try to deflect saying that it's either an issue of translation (debunked many times) or that "she" refers to the "monster" while "he" refers to Alluka – that's also false and made abundantly clear in future eposodes.

  7. Some folks here are pushing their own agenda using this anime. We are here for entertainment and to enjoy reactions. Why do this? Whenever people disagree with them in the slightest they are quick to call them transphobes. The word "Phobia" means an exaggerated usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects, or situation, that's according to a dictionary. I don't think people who disagree with trans folks has an exaggerated, usually inexplicable and illogical fear of them LOL!

I don't go around calling every single person who disagree with me "phobes."
