Man, I hate to hear that. The tribal police forces face a lot of special challenges like remote areas, poor cell coverage, under funding etc. God speed to that officer.
Oh my god. Really sad. God bless that officer and his family. So many crazy stuff out in the rez. cartel, lunatics, and drug addicts. Whatever it is there's a person to blame but nothing is held accountable. And everyone forgets it.
White Mountain Apache Police Department has 24 sworn officers. Which of, 18 are assigned to Patrol. That's actually a pretty big Department for a tribe of, 15,000. Usually on average, not including Departments servings cities with over 1 million people, the ratio is like, 1 officer per 1k-1.5k resident. White Mountain PD ratio is like, 1 officer to 500 residents. If White Mountain cut something like, 5 or 6 officers, keep the same budget, they could pay the officers something like, 30k more per year.
Very sad to here this news prayers for both officers and their families to much senseless killing going on in this great country of ours May some common sense prevail over gun laws and the 2nd amendment I don’t know the gun used but to many AR-15’s are used and that gun is simply not a hunting gun it’s a killing machine that needs to be brought under control and destroyed
I knew the Officer who got killed, Adrian Lopez, a good friend, he was only 6 months into this job, and was planning to be back home in LA soon. So sorry it happened this way Popa, RIP.
