Whiskey Pete’s opened its doors in 1977 and multiple sources have told Channel 13 that the property has closed its doors, at least for now. Channel 13’s Jaewon Jung has more.
A lot of other news sources indicate this as well plus with people being redirected to Buffalo bills it gives them the perfect opportunity to begin renovations. If im correct Primm resort is currently being renovated as well unless its already open. But with whiskey petes being renovated it brings it in line with the renovations done with buffalo bills.
Also it wouldn't be strategically wise to shut down a casino thats next to an Arena
They close and reopen it seems like every few years. I went in there one time to use the “facilities” on my way home to Vegas. It was 3am, and there were some very, uh, different people in there. I did my thing and got the hades outta there.
Even still, sad. Amazon killed the outlet mall. And the casinos did well for awhile. Maybe it’ll come back again.
It sounds like Primm is dying. Closed or empty hotels and casinos, and a dead mall. I wondered how they even got people to work out there for low-paid service jobs, when there are plenty of them in Vegas.
Many of these hotels and casinos become economically obsolete and need to be torn down. Tourists now expect larger rooms, amenities like spas, golf courses, in-line shopping, etc. Easier to tear down and re-build.
they said they were only closing temporarily, most likely for renovations, as they have several times before. why is the reporter making it sound like they're going out of business? probably to raise their prices! goodbye cheap prime rib dinners!
Wow it's sad to see it close or any casino close its door. 😮😢 Let's see what happens next soon I hope. Not cool 👎😎! at the State Line of Nevada and California, USA.
I remember staying there when a CDL driver could get a room Sunday-Thursday nights for $19! Free drinks if you were gambling and the food was pretty good and fairly priced.
Fallout needs to capitalize on this
Its temporarily closed for renovations.

What are they going to do with the Bonnie and Clyde car?
no i love that casino
I would like my piece back
That's where the "Bonnie n Clyde"death car is…who has it now?
Years ago there was a small casino across the frwy. called "Cactus Kates"
Clark County should rent it out that could be a homeless center
Sad that its close but no business though
Not surprised. The place is a dump.
Entire Primm will probably need a makeover.
9/10 people who are sad it closed, haven’t been once since they were kids. It wouldn’t be closing if y’all would’ve gone there more. It’s that simple.
Californian’s decisions destroys another long existing business. Very sad.

They closed for remodeling and needed renovations.

it will be missed 😢

😢
I have stopped many times, but will say it's been in a state of decline the past decade.
Even the hot dogs at sports bar had gone downhill
I once drove with my buddy from Texas to Vegas from LA, and I had him convinced for almost four hours that Whiskey Pete's was Las Vegas.
It’s a pit stop.
Already close
All of LasVages can close &:America would be a good thing!! F gambling!! No one ever wins & keeps it!!
Damn, not even the classic places on Stateline are safe… Can we please keep a few of these originals!?
Obamas, Bidens, and Clintons to head to Whiskey Pete’s for president’s final reception.
