3. This is 1 of my favorite movies. Yes, I am a guy who loves action movies to death, but I have a special place in my heart for this movie. Yes, I was also 1 of those people who thought to himself, "wait…she never saw that movie yet as a rom-com fan??" I am a big Sandra Bullock fan. I love her in Gravity, The Heat, The Blind Side, All About Steve, The Proposal, Premonition, The Lake House, Miss Congeniality 2, Crash, Miss Congeniality, Forces of Nature, A Time to Kill, The Net, Speed, Speed 2 (not as good as the first movie, but I still enjoy it), Demolition Man. I think you already saw some of those movies. I have not seen all of her movies, though.

5. Love this movie! Bill Pullman's son plays Bob in movie MAVERICK. I love Jack too! Chicago is awesome. I am from that area!

7. This is one of my favorite 'repeat' movies. I can watch it over and over. It never gets old to me.

9. Unrelated to this movie [which I've seen a dozen times], but a Christmas recommendation you may be unaware of: 'We're No Angels' is a little-known [these days] gem. Not the 1989 shlock-fest with De Niro and Penn, but the 1955 classic with an incredible cast: Humphrey Bogart, Peter Ustinov, Aldo Ray, Leo G. Carroll, Basil Rathbone, Joan Bennett… Watch it and it'll be in your Christmas rotation forever.

10. This was the movie that made me fall in love with Sandra Bullock. For years Sandra Bullock was it! Every movie she made, I had to see it and collect it on video. When she finally won the Oscar for 'The Blind Side' I was over the moon. She is still in my top 5 all-time favorite actresses.
    I wanted to point out a couple of things…
    Glynis Johns who was the grandmother also played the mother in 'Mary Poppins'. She also won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for 'A Little Night Music' by Stephen Sondheim…in the show, she was the first actress to sing "Send In The Clowns", one of the most legendary songs in the Broadway canon.
    Jack Warden who plays Saul is one of my favorite character actors of all time. There are quite a few amazing films he made that you should see, but I will only list one particular one that would be in the romcom genre…'Heaven Can Wait' (1978). It's one of the many films he made with writer-director-actor Warren Beatty. It's probably my favorite of the romcoms that Beatty made. It's actually a remake of a film called 'Here Comes Mr. Jordan' (1941). The film stars Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, Jack Warden, Dyan Cannon, Charles Grodin, Buck Henry, and James Mason.
    I am a fan of Peter Gallagher (Peter aka Sandy Cohen…I loved 'The O.C.') as a Broadway actor in musicals and plays…Before 'While You were Sleeping', he played Sky Masterson in a huge revival of 'Guys And Dolls' on Broadway. And back in the 80s, he did a really racy romantic drama called 'Summer Lovers' (1982) with Daryl Hannah and a French actress named Valerie Quenessen, directed by Randall Kleiser (best known for directing 'Grease'). I suggest the film 'Guys and Dolls' with Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, and Jean Simmons, but not 'Summer Lovers' for the channel (as it is waaaaaay too…adult for the channel.).
    Fun little trivia…Bill Pullman (Jack) is the real-life dad of a fan-favorite character in one of the biggest films this year. Bill is the father of Lewis Pullman who played Bob in 'Top Gun: Maverick'.

14. There's not many of these types of movies that I like but I've always liked this one. The American President (1995) and Moonstruck (1987) is really good too.

15. This is a great film! The part of Lucy was originally written FOR Julia Roberts but, she turned it down for…whatever…reason… BIG MISTAKE! Though, I don't think the Lucy character would have carried the same universal draw and innocence with Julia as it does with Sandra…

19. You should next watch "Moonstruck" with Cher and Nicholas Cage. It is a quirky, funny, romantic comedy with a twist. It has a great scene where you can see the original World Trade Center towers at night.
