Where will the A's play, 2024-2027?

I have no idea where the Oakland A’s will be playing their games for the next 3 seasons. A a lot depends on the next 6 weeks.

  1. right center and center field is wide open at city park. The A's aren't getting 10 thousand fans into that dump now. Excuses are what necessitated the move in the first place.

  2. Let's just say the A's start playing at the Aviators Stadium in either 2024 or 2025.
    2 options:
-they share the ballpark with the Aviators, and alternate home dates
-Aviators temporarily move to somewhere else for 2-3 years, my 3 options are:
–Tucson: they have hosted spring training and AAA games before.
–Fresno: they have an AAA stadium, and the current Fresno Grizzlies could maybe move to Lancaster, CA for a couple of years
–UNLV's ballpark: while although small (only 3,000 capacity), it at least is still in Las Vegas. The AAA Fresno Grizzlies played at Fresno State's ballpark, so this has happened before

  3. Hey Brodie, keep in mind that this ballpark is in Summerlin which due to elevation is on average 5-7 degrees cooler than most of Las Vegas.

  4. The A's should buy out Oakland for 2024. The 2019 Season for the Raiders was Hell. Then NFL stole final Game Victory. UGLY, and they blamed the Fans. Any Year after this is going to be Ugly for A's in Oakland. I hold Rob Manfred Responsible for this. Little Napoleon Running MLB… Into Ground. Do You really feel that passion for MLB. Yawn.

  5. Perhaps the A's could work out a deal to play their home games at Oracle Park for the 2025 and 2026 seasons (and maybe even 2024 too)….? I doubt they'd take many fans or ticket sales away from the Giants, Oracle Park would be able to generate more revenue via the lease agreement, and it would solve almost all of the problems mentioned.

  6. It would be a BIG mistake to move to that ballpark. The whole thing has a rushed feeling to it. I will be shocked if the Oakland A's (a major league team) move to this park, I say no way will this be done. Pun intended: They will be OUT of their league

  7. The city of Oakland should sell the land to a developer who would pay for the cost of tearing down the Coliseum and build condos or apartment buildings there if Oakland needs more housing (or an alternative commercial use of the land). Nice one-time windfall of cash for the city to use in funding city services or repairs.

  8. Hi brodie just to let you know I'm a raiders fan since 1977 and my father since 1964 you have to understand the a's will. Probably play in Las Vegas ballpark. .never in allegiant stadium

  9. Can somebody explain why the grass at the minor league park would have to be replaced with artificial turf if the field was to be shared with the A's??

  10. Where the might play is of no consequence. As a Raiders and A's from the late 1960's to present watching those two teams bail ( one team twice ) is heartbreaking. Warriors, Raiders and A's all leaving independant of eachother in less then 10 years says more about Oakland and Alameda county failed leadership then it does about the teams.

  11. You are grasping. Face it, the A’s are out of Oakland. The city dropped the ball years ago.

Give it up and move on. Oakland needs to worry about the crime rate in the city more than a baseball team

  12. I personally don’t think that Las Vegas is a MLB city. They aren’t clamoring for the As. It’s all a business deal that may look good on paper but. It’s baseball. I bet the aviators don’t fill that stadium

  13. Move the AAA team to Lancaster CA, Jethawks stadium. It's been empty since 2020. A's play in Aviator's stadium in Vegas. Road teams can obviously stay at the strip hotels, so that will work perfectly.

  14. Could the team contact Nussli Group who built a temporary home in Vancouver called Empire Field when they were rebuilding the dome. That company builds a lot of temporary structures like tennis, volleyball, and motor sports venues. Also could Sam Boyd get retrofitted temporarily?

  15. Worst case scenario, if you really wanted to you could always schedule games at Oracle Park (Kind of like How the Jets Giants Chargers and Rams do in the NFL) schedule it to where when the Giants are away the A’s have home games., Second Option Play in the Spring Training Stadium for a year or two, Third See if Oakland Arena could be Transformed into a temporary home stadium. Final potential Option see if you could use a temporary facility in Las Vegas.

  16. My guess? The Raiders played a lame duck 2019 season in Oakland after announcing their move. I suspect the A’s will do the same for 2024 while they figure out how to coexist with the Aviators for 25, 26, and possibly 27 if delays come up. We’ll see.

  18. I think it’s inevitable they will have to serve as the “Home” team in the visitors ballpark for at least a few games in 2025-26. It would be so funny if Tropicana Field is one of those. I definitely think Montreal could be in the mix for a handful of games. There is no way they can play any day games at Las Vegas Ballpark I can’t see MLB allowing that. I could see them granting exceptions to the Sunday Night Baseball “window” rule to allow the A’s to play a few night games on Sundays.
