This episode was AMAZING! This is what good writing looks like. They make each part so similar to the game, and they try so hard to keep it loyal to the fans while adding that extra something.
They literally could’ve just casted the voice actor of Joel to play him in the show. He also has that rugged masculine look. And the voice is already there. Why wouldn’t they do this?
The fact that he used to be a teacher before the apocalypse makes my skin crawl
The part where you guys would assume there is infected downstairs, this is the issue im having with the show. They have almost completely sidelined the infected and fungus in the show ever since Henry and Sam. Its like an inconvenience and afterthought at this point. Even though its the main reason the world is the way it is. In the game there's infected in many places and its still something you need to think about consistently despite what's going on with humans. The show just doesn't include them enough at this point so its just like any other apocalypse show where the issue is humans killing each other for resources again. Clickers, infected and fungal spores, this fungus thats alive and trying to spread at whatever cost. They need to bring back the darkness and fear of the fungus again like the first 2 episodes did, establish that haunting feeling that a spore, or bite could mean death at any random point.
Cult leader. The dear made the clicker sound with his antlers. Venison is 🦌 meat. He gets a bigger portion. Penicillin is put into any muscle. Cannibals. Pedo. Emmys earned!!! Ellie didn’t need Joel.
What really got to me: David was a teacher of 14 y/o girls. After all he we got to know about him, it's likely that he r*ped his students
