When trying one more spot saves your whole fishing trip!

Ahoy legends, this week I’m fishing way offshore in search of something big and nasty in the deep water. Unfortunately, the opportunity never comes, and I’m left staring down the barrel of a dud trip.. Except for one more hail mary stop on the way home. Could it save my whole trip?
Hope you enjoy the video!

  1. great stuff as always Sammy, although a kingy like that would be sashimi for me for sure!

had a day like that about 2 months ago. was trying to Christen my new electric reel so spent about 5 hours poking around in 120-200m , for nothing but a tiny nannygai that was as embarrassed as I was……

decided on a whim to pull up on some nice rubbley ground I'd never fished before in about 35m on my way home and found a nice school of pearlies around 45cm. landed 5 in 6 drops with the last of my squid, trip saved πŸ™‚

  2. I remember walking the Noosa national park for an early morning session at hells gates, path was closed due regeneration. I thought i might as well go home, but on the way back I stopped at a spot for a flick, absolutely loaded up on Trev's and dart on micro jigs, best session yet.

  3. On the way home from catching SFA around Yeppoon sometimes I see things and stop in to again catch SFA.

Fishing is getting so boring and predictable, nothing in the creeks, nothing offshore in my area, all flogged out.

  4. we got a triple wahoo hook up (2 landed) last year after the whole day fishing produced nada. we were on the way home and threw out the trolling lures at the last possible spot before going into the harbour. i think poseidon or some higher force exists out there.
