I have never heard that expression before,,, demons run when a good man goes to war " actually that's pretty damn accurate, I can think of two instances that prove that One is Alvin C York, The other is Audie Murphy. From what I've heard both were very likable guys not men prone to excessive violence But they accomplished incredible feats. Not a bad story though I would have liked to have heard what Jonathan did after he left the hiding place

Yep, it's always the quiet, gentle friendly ones you have to watch out for. Someone who is naturally aggressive has an outlet and will react with aggression, but it's usually only to a degree to stop whatever is causing the aggression, they don't typically go overboard.
But the quiet ones? The ones who normally wouldn't show aggression to anyone, even when pushed? Those ones have a limit, and you don't want to find it.

A very good story and why it's the quiet ones you should worry about. 😉 Because the "quiet ones" are the ones who are the most dangerous when angered or in pain.
The cold fury of a human pushed is not something people want to see. You might live to regret it in the most painful way imaginable.
I enjoyed the story .
It's funny this should show up on my recommendations as I went through similar with my fiance ex. Only with him it was an arm when he shot and killed her. Fortunately that's all I remember of it.
There was a doctor who episode which centered around this saying
