Should have read human military history books. Humans like to write about our wars.
"welcome to vietnam"
It's gonna be helarious when the Aliens try any of these scenarios and we already know exactly how it goes because humans write every possible version of the future ππ€£
Alien Invaders: Our plasma weapons are superior and will let us win easily!
Humans: Hehe M163 go BRRRRTRT!!
when i wrote this one i was under SERIOUS stress. this had to go through at least a dozen corrections after being published. sorry about that
π€ what kind of war do you fight against gorillas?
π A gorilla war!
So this was guerrilla versus gorilla warfare.
I love stories where the villains greatly underestimate their opponents, then learn the hard way.
In short don't mess with the humans
I have an issue with it being islands and then suddenly there being a river in between islands. It should be a strait and you could perhaps speak of sea currents, surfs and possibly stormy waters – in narrow parts water can indeed have strong currents – or perhaps it was tides. But nope not river.
Yeah you Grankanti F O O L S , we're Monkeys too . and this is O U R jungle .
Half way through I imagined they just sent Rambo with a months worth of preperation and an full-auto cal.50 Barett ^^
I would have wished a lot of them would have given up and taken in to later learn what we evolved from.
An ultimate F-around and find out story.
ππ
X1: General, we found a sheltered area up ahead. We should be safe there.
X2: Very good captain. What is that area called?
X1: "Teutoberg Forrest", Sir.
This was good i liked it alot β€π
loved the fallout monkey trap
Imagine coming to earth and landing in hillbilly territory and hearing the forest come alive with banjo and hillbilly shouting and whooping
Insert Guerilla vs Gorilla warfare.
I got nothing.
If you think clearly. Do you honestly believe a military force attacking you will not have vehicles, tanks, and artillery along with sensory detection for heat and sound? I'm not even complaining about giving the opposition no air support as a problem, but all armies will have drones and other aircraft in the future. A space fleet without a reconnaissance group, a rear guard, and passive sensory sweeps isn't a competent force. You're telling me a space faring race does not have their own version of CIWS for ground forces and the fleet? In the end, the flaws in the story are like so many propaganda promotions that try to falsely give hope to those that do not have a chance in combat against the opposition. Think if it like all the gaslighting disinformation that North Korea or Russia push on the public that their technology can compete.
This was a good job showing how terrifying snipers are.
This one is phenomenal! The best one, yet! π€π€π€
Somewhere off in the distance as the generals head explodes "Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games
We got everything you want, honey, we know the names
We are the people that can find whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey, we got your disease
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your shun-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-knees, knees
Muah, ah, I wanna watch you bleed"
they let the frigate escape because dead men tell no tales.
Humans: A small talent for war.
Sounds like chivalry.. 1066 and…
Longbow GO BRRRR.
Snipers.. Perfect… Guerilla tactics.. Brilliant.
Military industrial complex would say at 7:50 that was a nice scout group. GOT an army?
There is a novel set in the Predator universe. In it, a retired sniper is a park ranger and a group of yautja (the Predators) land in the park and do what they usually do. The ranger decides to fight back. The story becomes the inverse of the original Predator movie. With the yautja desperately trying to survive and escape an essentially invisible enemy back to their ship while this sniper stalks them. It ends with the last yautja's brains being blown out onto his ship right when he reaches it.
guerrilla warfare versus alien gorillas…
You F****D with Terra….. To most others, if not all, in the galaxy, humans are the stuff of their nightmare's nightmares; they are quite literally the things that go "bump in the night".
Fantastic
A completely stupid series of films!
LOVE IT… " many tried but were never heard from again"
Thanks!
That got my blood pumping. Awesome.
Humanity, our national sport is war.
1 or 2 hundred soldiers, do not an Army make. 3 squads to a platoon, three platoons to a company, three companies to a battalion, three battalions to a regiment, three regiments to a division, three divisions to a corps, three corps to an army. That is the broad strokes of it, as there is a lot of variation, here and there.
Fortunate sons start playing
Well told! Kudos!
βIf you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battleβ.
-Sun Tzu, Art of War
Reading the title makes me think that this is a reference to when the trees are speaking Finnish.
We can only hope our war-like tendencies strike fear in our invader's hearts. I can't imagine a non-preditor species becoming world dominant, so those invaders will likewise be predators. These ape-like invaders did not make very good guerilla warriors! (Pun intended) ππ
