Geoff, you’ve put the skis on wrong! They’ll flap about because you’ve got the tips facing forward. They can actually be a problem unless you turn them around.
I love those Rover 45s, extremely underrated car. Very much overshadowed by the ZS, but they have that same sharp chassis ans in my experience are extremely reliable.

Rover 45 in copperleaf metallic. Nice car. My late father worked for Austin Rover when that was made. Just needs a little tlc from a trimmer. The daft thing is I can drive that through Birmingham no charge and yet a euro 5 diesel jaguar costs £8 per day. Similarly I could drive a big v8 through there no problems at all. How does that make any sense?

Have a great holiday Geoff. Sorry to hear about the deer collision. A mate of mine hit one in his van many years ago – smashed the windscreen, bent the A-pillar and pulled the roof down as a result. It was Deer 1 – Van 0 though. It unbelievably got up and ran off 😧🦌
I understand that the price of petrol in the UK is foolish but 1 litre engine in a car that size is nuts my son has a 2016 Ford Fusion 2 litre twin turbo with all wheel drive that is stupid fast but it’s such a comfortable ride but we pay $ 2.79 a US Gallon of fuel. The government in the UK either wants you to walk ,stay home or take public transportation non of them sound appealing to me.
