I live near one of the airbases from which the Vulcan flew, and was privileged to see the last remaining one quite by accident when it flew over a friend's garden around 2012. It was an awe-inspiring sight because the eye wants to interpret the sleek shape as a small fighter, and then your brain keeps trying to re-scale it and realise just how big it is…
Hi from England. In the 70's I saw the Vulcans at several air shows. The did runs over the runways with their bomb doors open. They were very loud and very big. They looked just like giant moths.
