I really don’t get why ppl would think that Checo ever was a viable WDC candidate. In no point of his career he displayed the longevity in form that is needed to be a champion. Race winner? Sure, but never a champion when the likes of Max and Lewis around. Sorry for the Checo-fans out there, but the man is the epitome of a number 2 driver (no pun int.)
