What's a good Alliance? | Tactics good alliances use | Star Trek Fleet Command New Player's Guide

Alliances are a key feature in Star Trek Fleet Command and @everyone is in one. But, are you in the right one? At the end of the day the “right” alliance is extremely subjective, but there are obvious benefits to certain groups. With that in mind this video aims to help new players and veterans alike better their gameplay by finding the alliance that’s right for them. These are the things I look for!

Topics covered:

1. What can your alliance do for you?!
2. Territory, Ship Upgrades, Armadas, oh my!
3. As always, my DMs are open if you need to contact me!
4. If you have any game mechanic questions, feel free to drop those questions in the comments!

  1. This made me feel so great this morning. Definitely comforting to know we are on the right path. I can’t tell you how ON point and a CRAZY timing this has come out, because it was definitely needed!! Thanks again for being that person I can count on for these tips!!!!

  2. TOG (Server 8) is a mostly casual mostly f2p (all the whales left after TC came out, Thanks Obama lol) who run the hell out of armadas. 🙂 As we like to put it, we "finesse" rather than brute force them 🙂

  3. Some good points, disagree about top alliances, there’s limited top alliances and plenty of players, a lot of quality alliances ranged 6-20 and less drama and politics and decent rewards.

  4. Imo, the number one reason to choose an alliance is philosophy. Find an alliance that plays the way you like. Everything else is secondary.

And don't worry about contributing. Firstly, activity is very important and valued, regardless of spending. Secondly, you can become really good at one or a few things, even if your ships aren't the strongest. For example, I'm a weak F2P, and I believe that most regard me as one of the most effective allied raid defense players on the server, even against multiple attackers 10+ levels higher than myself.

  5. Good guide on what to look for when seeking to join an alliance….it surprises me though, especially coming from a pirate such as yourself, that you left out 1 aspect : bigger players can help smaller players raid by cracking bases for them. Also, defend an alliance mate from being raided when it is necesary, especially if you're not part of a strong enough group that owns teritory (which is much harder to raid, but also – not imposible). As always, good vid !

  6. We have an awesome alliance. We rule by majority. Our admiral is a figure head. It’s working well. All around us alliances are crumbling due to internal conflicts, while we remain stable. We armada everyday multiple times. I earn enough rare and epic creds to always buy max chests when they refresh.

We help all of our members get their ACCs unlocked and leveled up.

We also have a very active discord.

And are members of a 5 alliance coalition. We help each other with territory defenses and takeovers.
Having been in a dud alliance to start with and find an amazing one that i have helped grow over the last few months. It’s literally a game changer.

As always great vid Rev! Fellow Louisianan!

  7. Glad you are pushing the devs for a ftp path for the meridian. I missed getting it the last time it was in the event store 3 months ago. Been hoping it will show up again ever since so that I can get iso resin to do the territory research tree. Hope they do this soon, I feel like I am stuck and falling behind players that have it.
