What Will the New Heavens and the New Earth Be Like?

The descriptions of the New Heavens and the New Earth are a great way to show why overliteralizing the passages completely misses the point. Check this out!

  1. Revelation 22:1-5
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

John. 7:37-39 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”[a] By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

  2. The bible is written throughout with symbolism and parables.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 1 Tim 1:4 (KJV)

To “rightly divide (separate) the word of truth” you must separate fact from fable, truth from tale, and principle from parable.

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Tim 4:4 (KJV)

    Example;

When someone is tempted to do something that they know is wrong they have a little debate in their head and lie to themselves and make excuses to justify the action they want to take. Just like the story of Eve and the talking serpent. A talking serpent is a fable; 2 Tim 4:4 (KJV).

A talking serpent symbolic of the lust of the flesh; is truth.

We are told to seek out wisdom and knowledge throughout the bible(KJV), and contrary to the preachers and teachers deceiving statement “we can’t know (comprehend) God, the fact is we CAN know all there is that pertains to God and us, his creation. BUT Matt 13:10-11-15 (KJV). The arrogance of this generation thinking they are better than past generations, cannot grasp the full impact of said verses. When you take parables as literal you get fables.

Don’t take my word for it, or any bodies for that matter. Come to the bible (KJV) with a clean slate, and with sincere want for truth, and not to consume it upon your lusts, but that you may do true worship and obedience to God, with a repentant heart, and with reason and logic the spirit of God will teach.11 … in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 (KJV)

    All glory to God. Amen

  3. To understand the whys and wherefores of the “Great Tribulation” you first need to know who the “hot”, “lukewarm”, and “cold” are. Rev 3:15-16 (KJV)

The bible (KJV) teaches that if you deny Jesus then Jesus will deny you.

    2 John 1:9-11 (KJV)

For God to choose someone because of bloodline, race, is bias and prejudice. Those that are sincere in their want for peace and truth are drawn to God because that is what God is, peace IN truth, James 4:8-10 (KJV) And

    Romans 2:28-29 (KJV)

And the same can be said for the Christian. [For he is not a Christian, which is one outwardly…]

Being a Jew was a choice not a birthright. Isaiah 65:15 (KJV)

    And

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
    8 …
9 But now, after that ye have known God, OR RATHER ARE KNOWN OF GOD, … Gal 4:7-9 (KJV)

    And

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS. Romans 8:9 (KJV)

    And

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15 (KJV)

God adopts those who choose him; hence they are called the adoption (the lukewarm).

And then you have these; Romans 8:29-30 (KJV)

These that are BORN with the Holy Ghost: Judges 13:5 (KJV), Psalms 22:10 (KJV),

Luke 1:15 (KJV), and Gal 1:15 (KJV)

    These are the elect, the prophets, (the hot) they are the daily sacrifice;

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the STRANGERS scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 ELECT according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: … 1 Peter 1:1-2 (KJV)

They are the 144k, the messengers to the adoption; Eph 1:4-5 (KJV)

    The reason for this verse;

2 Be not forgetful to entertain STRANGERS: for thereby some have entertained ANGELS (messengers) unawares. Heb 13:2 (KJV)

And then you have the cold:

    liar, thief, murderer, and hypocrite.

    Jerusalem is a spiritual city.

26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Gal 4:26 (KJV)

    And

24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: IN ALL PLACES WHERE I RECORD MY NAME I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. Ex 20:24 (KJV)

Through providence God raises a nation to draw his adopted to,

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

    Rev 12:1-2 (KJV)

The sun represents the nation of power for the day, the woman representing the adopted (lukewarm), and the child representing a major prophet (elect, hot, the daily sacrifice). Jer 23:3-4 (KJV).

    And

    Matt 21:43 (KJV)

Exactly the same way he drew his adoption to this nation (U.S.A.) “One nation under God”.

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

But alas the nation always goes the way of the world and becomes a beast,

    Eccl 1:9-11 (KJV).

Seven times God has raised a nation of great power, (represented by the sun) to lead the world to heaven on earth or to desolation. Seven times he has brought it down to the pit (hell),

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalms 12:1-6-8 (KJV), {this is how he sealed each 1k year day, the 7 seals.}, today being the eighth and last time. Rev 17:10-11 (KJV).

We (U.S.A.) are the ones who brought down fire from heaven in Aug. of 1945 and we are the ones that gave life to the image of the beast in May of 1948. Rev 13:13-15 (KJV).

But know this, if the truth were being told then the prophecy, Matt 24:14 (KJV) would have happened years ago. But when the true gospel is preached in all nations then all will know the TRUE reason for the “Great Tribulation” which is for all on this earth except the elect (the “hot”) which are “caught up” to the third heaven (where God dwells) in a twinkling at the last trump, the beginning of the Great Tribulation:
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the GATES into the city. Rev 22:14 (KJV).

The hypocritical and unbelieving (the “cold”) for vengeance and wrath unto the second death (the lake of fire, our nearest star). The sincere in want for truth (the adoption “the lukewarm”) for chastisement unto ever lasting life, that will be SPEWED out to a new earth (the waters above Gen. 1:6-8) after 3 ½ years of chastisement, Jer 25:29 (KJV)

    And

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. …

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and CHASTEN: be zealous therefore, and repent.

    Rev 3:15-19 (KJV)

Before the final trumpet the Ark of the Covenant will be found beneath the seat of the false prophet, but not in time for this world to turn back from its path of destruction.

So, at the final trumpet and vial there is an unprecedented great earthquake and nuclear war (WWIII, the third woe is “the abomination of desolation” Matt 24:15 (KJV)).

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; ….
18…; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth…
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Rev 16:17-21 (KJV)

These simultaneous events will knock the earth out of orbit hurling her towards the sun (“lake of fire”) and bringing hell on earth; 19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and NOT RISE AGAIN. Isaiah 24:19-20 (KJV)

Then the U.S.A. (Satan, a power and principality) being the only one with relatively any power left will know that they have “but a short time” and for 3 ½ years will come after the woman, (the adoption) the true children (church) of God, to hold as hostage,

    Rev 12:14-16 (KJV).

Don’t take my word for it, or anybodies for that matter. Come to the bible (KJV) with sincere want for truth, and not to consume it upon your lusts, but that you may do true worship and obedience to God, with a repentant heart, and with reason and logic the Spirit of God will teach.11 … in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 (KJV)

  4. Rev 1:1 "These things that must soon take place" Rev Ch 22 "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book" WHY? "For the time is at hand" Whoever penned the book of Revelation in the early 2nd century ce. claims that Jesus is wanting to communicate to 7 churches that are acting one way or the other certain things that are going to happen SOON. If the message was intended for people living 2000 years later that is a very cruel joke on the original audience of the text. You should not transport Revelation into the future when it clearly was not written to you. Bigger picture. Its not real. None of it is real. The earth is not 6000 years old. You guys are so much smarter than this. Un-chain yourselves from your self inflicted dogmas and man made religions. Be kind, loving, generous, compassionate, while you live. We are spiritual beings maturing in a physical existence. We all go back to the same source. No judgement, no eternal torment. Just love. Best regards.

  6. The throne of God is described as being above a sea of stars. In the literal temple the Great Basin perched upon the 12 bronze bulls is sometimes called “ the sea” it was used to purify the high priest and under priests for service in the Temple ( a form of baptism) both the literal sea , or basin, in the temple and the sea of stars are a place between the throne of Jehovah and mankind. In Revelation 21 when the Heavenly City new Jerusalem comes to earth and there is no longer a temple humanity is reconciled to God just as Adam was in Eden prior to the fall. The Sea, or expanse between God and man, is no more because “ the tent of God is with mankind” and there is no longer a separation between heaven and earth . That’s my take, I could be wrong now, but I don’t think so.

  9. There's a lot of Bible verses being quoted here, and everyone can come to their own conclusion about how unimaginable heaven will be.
The fact that Jesus forgives you of all of your wicked deeds, and you make it into heaven to live forever, with him and our father,,,,is in itself, the best part of it !!
I'm not going to care what it looks like ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  10. Why do people worry so much about things to come in the next life when we have so much to do in THIS life? You should be focused on how to become holy and walk like Jesus and preach the gospel and get souls saved. Don't get caught up in the details of the next world. Worry about that when you get there.

  11. Literal translations, particularly of individual "words" can easily "screw-up" the intended meaning of a communication. This particularly true with translations of non-cognate languages such as Japanese and English. Even idiomatic phrases within the same contemporary "mother tongue" can be problematic. ex. The late Canadian Peter Jenning's reference to a phrase used by a passenger on the ill fated 9/11 flight which crashed at Shanksville PA – "Let us roll" when the original American phrase was "Let's Roll ! Many Indo-European and Eastern languages are very context driven, and English is not an easy second language for many from those regions of the world. My Japanese wife of over 50 years frequently "provides great opportunity" to remember this. When one spends much time in Bible study, one of the interesting features of the Hebrew culture (at least in Biblical times was their use of the "Remez" construct as a teaching method by the temple priests.

  12. Christians love figurative interpretations because they can support much of their doctrine by “reading between the lines.” You can see what you want this way, but I think G-d knew what he was transmitting to His Prophets, and it was for our edification!

  13. Sometimes listening to people who teach false doctrine is a bad idea. Gathering knowledge from listening to commentary that is not from the Bible is false doctrine if you are not absolutely sure of what you're hearing. Studying the Bible means memorizing and knowing how to rightly divide within context. Cultural meanings are to be learned by heavy study in books that can be traced back to academic instead of denominational. Bias occurs when someone's doctrinal beliefs are slanted to denominational beliefs. 98% of all denominations are steeped in Luther/Calvinism. Catholicism is 1% and true Bible only believers are the other 1%. Catholicism and Reformed theology have destroyed the original intent of the authors of the Holy Bible. The Great Falling Away which is referred to in the New Testament has made false doctrine of most churches' doctrines today.

  14. Whenever we see prophecy fulfilled (like the cross fulfilling Isaiah 53) it has both a "cosmic" (also called symbolic, figurative, general idea) and a literal (also called a natural, literary) fulfillment. It is not an either/or, but a both/and. To say symbolic only is to promote unbelief, and to say literal only is to not understand the meaning. That there will not be any sea is both literal, and meaningful; that is, the literal is the manifestation that demonstrates the meaning. Both are one truth. My 2 cents.

  15. Are you that stupid? This has become the only question I ask now. There is no new, Earth. There is no new, heaven. All rise from this Earth into Heaven. Into eternity. This world and this heaven is no longer in existence. Thousands of years of seeing the very same words and this is what the human construct comes up with?
What will the new heavens and the new earth be like?
The stupid and very likely accurate answer is, it will look like the new God, that makes it new. Do you see the stupidity in that question now?

  16. "Heaven and earth" are Temple language, the Temple represented both, and the relationship between them.

The fall of the physical temple, and with it the Old Covenant system, was "heaven and earth passing away"; in fire in fact, because the Romans burned it to the ground.

The "new Heaven and new Earth which shall not pass away" is the New Covenant which cannot be broken because God "keeps" both our side and His through Christ. Where the "Temple" is the Body of Christ wherein God's Spirit resides, and through which He dwells on Earth among men.

It's all a metaphor for the temporary, preliminary spiritual "world order" of temporal/geographical/national Israel giving way to the eternal "new world order" of the spiritual and eternal Israel, the Church/Kingdom of God.

  17. I believe that the Bible is literally true. Let me qualify that. I believe that that every event in the Bible occurs exactly as described. Everything in the Bible is not literal though. There is metaphor, there are descriptions made by 1st century or bc agrarians of what they saw. Just as post biblical prophets describe what they see or are told by Mary. It also has to be taken from the point of view of who wrote it and who the expected audience was. Most of the concepts we struggle with were easily understood by the Hebrew readers the instant they read it.

  18. Let me teach you how to interpret the Bible – UFOs are on God's side and are described all over the Bible. The ancient used semantic and called the spaceships, clouds, pillars, chariots and glory. The Bible talks about “clouds” going up and down with people going in and out (Exodus 24:18 – Moses entered the cloud). Clouds do not make those movements described in the Bible, but spaceships do. Jesus ascended in a “cloud” (Acts 1:9). God rides in a “cloud” (Isaiah 19:1, Psalm 104:3). Jesus will come back “with” the “clouds” (Mat 26:64, Rev 1:7). Jesus will come back commanding a fleet of starships. The church will be raptured “in” the “clouds” (I Thess. 4:17). Spaceships will be used to rapture the church. The ancient did not have vocabulary or knowledge to understand what they saw so they called the flying objects “clouds”, “chariots”, and “pillars”, because were the words they had to describe something flying in the sky. The Bible even tells in Psalm 68:17 how many spaceships are in the fleet “The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands” (about 20,000). There is a good research done by Patrick Cooke called “The Great Deception – The Bible UFO Connection” which has the original words describing spaceships. It is all over the Bible. Jesus is real. He is the savior of the world, but He is not seating in a puffy cloud. He is commanding a powerful army, which will take control of our planet and stop all wars. The Jews had contact with beings from another planetary system called The Elohim, commanded by The Most High God. The Elohim had to have a special covenant with humans to be able to save our planet from destruction. They got the agreement with the Jews, but the Jews were not faithful to the agreement so The Most High God sent Jesus to make a new covenant and have legal rights to save our planet from destruction. The Jews made a covenant with beings from another planetary system. Psalm 82:1-6 says that God presides over a great assembly. Something like a federation of planets. If you want to confirm what I am saying just look at a painting made in 1710 by someone that had access to the secret archives of the Vatican. Look at the paint " The Baptism of Christ" by Aert de Gelder. Now that we know more about science, we can understand the descriptions in the Bible. They described high technology but didn't have words to express. When they saw spaceships with strong lights they called "glory”. The "glory" of God was a spaceship with lights. In the interplanetary law the price to save us was innocent blood. That is why Jesus had to die for us. He was fulfilling a legal requirement. Put your knees on the floor and surrender your life to Jesus.
