How many humans will it take to build it?
What will happen to the effects of the planet’s low gravity?
And will it be ruled by any country on Earth, or will it have its government?
In today’s video, we will find out!

THE DREAM OF LIVING IN ANOTHER WORLD
For many years humanity and the most enthusiastic scientists have dreamed of the possibility of some to build a city on the planet Mars, from the first science fiction stories of the Adventures of John Carter to the discovery of the canals of Percival Lowell, who believed that there was an extraterrestrial civilization on the red planet that had built water channels all over the planet to distribute the vital liquid to all the population.
The idea of being able to populate our red neighbor has always been on everyone’s mind, but it is until now that we can glimpse a slight possibility of making that dream possible.

  1. I think it will end up like it is here on earth, each space agency funded by the country they are from will just slowly build a country on mars starting from the early settlement up to a country eventually, so it will be a race to build the biggest country on mars and the people born in that country on mars will be Martians of that country who build it so say China, but genetically they are still Human and will be governed by the country that founded them originally, which will still own the government on mars they were born and live in like people still will do on the earth.
The only way things will change is like someone like Elon born on mars that decided he wanted to go colonise Europa and calls them Europians and establishes his or her own government.

  2. May not be water at the poles. Might just be butane. Where is the methane coming from? All the martians might be underground. Don't think anyone has asked anyone if we are welcome,!
But people will become aggressive due to looking at the color red all the time. Maybe why it's called the planet of WAR

  3. It won't be long before people on Mars will fight each other for dominance. The winner will seek independence from Earth. Not long after that, earth will send the military to suppress the independence movement. Being on another planet won't change who we are.

  4. I love forests. I love walking through them, smelling them and listening to all their sounds. I feel sorry for anyone who would have to live in a habitat on a barren planet where you could only go outside with a space suit on..

  5. The Expanse. Martians will probably decide to govern and rule themselves. At some point, they won't need Earth anymore and set up their own government and constitution. Elon Musk will be the founding father.

  6. Complete fiction 🙂 it would be so expensive to colonize Mars that it is unrealistic. One space suit costs millions of dollars, let alone the infrastructure on the planet without atmosphere and with extremely high solar radiation levels. If regular people will ever be send there I would rather be worried, as it would be only in a role of a guinea pig.
People at some point will need to accept that the Earth is the only planet we have and we need to take care of it.

  7. it may be easier to establish a station above mars. sounds crazy, but if we can start building a colony ship. here in our deep deep space. then fly it there once its done? or fly the pieces there as they get done. I know the tech is a long way off. I know mars has resources that could help. that's gonna need mining equipment anyways. at that point I say make it livable/sustainable here then fly it. then we don't risk getting stuck on mars. especially if for some reason we land then we can't stay.
the mass would seem like a lot to move but space doesn't have the forces to slow it down to much. asteroids could be a thing though I suppose.

  8. You don't need to build artificial magnetic field around the planet because that will cost way to much. You can build magnetic field just to protect the city like a local magnetic field, its cheaper that to build one around the planet

  9. Speculation as we don't have the ability to even set up a tiny scientific outpost on Mars let alone a city and there's not much evidence of any progress in that direction. It seems a very inhospitable place and doubtfully able to sustain any sizable population but as we can't get there it's academic .

  10. Its a lot easier to go to the moon first and learn your mistakes from there. Although different, at least it's the first rung on the ladder. Too expensive to make a missive mistake at the start on Mars, the moon also, but not so much.
