There are some facts that are wrong but no big things. =O) Plus I don’t like that he says Stockholm when he means Sweden. Lol
This guy is an idiot, listen, stop pausing and stop making pathetic jokes. I could not watch more than 10 minutes if even that bc he paused and asked stupid questions. Listen and shut UP!
Somethng a lot of people miss, maybe in particular foreigners is that there is a wartime and peacetime organisation, the wartime organisation includes the people that never gets included in these types of analysis(because it isn't made public, so there is no way for them to really get good information, even if they were to be aware of the concept), the people who are not included are those of us who have a wartime placement in the armed forces after ones military service, in june 2024 a total of 607 915 people had a wartime placement, but this includes a lot of civilian occupations(obvious one would be healthcare professionals), a majority actually, how many there are in the Armed Forces, well one could make an estimation given the ORBAT but it's impossible to be exact.
If a ship leaves China or Japan, and sails north, with not much ice left, it will come south between Iceland and Norway. And btw being neutral doesn't mean being ignorant, when the UN (not US) calls for international action, many civilized countries will respond, no matter which continent.
Sweden actually reached 2,2% of BNP in 2024 so much more earlier than 2028.
The narrator think Stockholm and Sweden is the same thing. It is not.
Stockholm is the capital and Sweden is a country! It's all about facts and education.
Charlie 17:17 .. what he ment is compared to USA wich has more planes, 1 to 1 Jas would always win .. and no this isent a simple plane, it hightech made simple…
…it can do alot that most other planes cant, its also ws developed with future in mind.
Charlie: 25:10 'silk road to where' .. to most of Europe and Northen Africa, Earth is a globe, and it is by faar the closes route, going past cape-horn is alot longer and more dangerous, and the panama canal has a limited capacity
Germany is much closer to Sweden than Russia. You can go there by boat or drive down through Denmark.
If you were to go to Russia, you’d probably fly.
Swedn been training NATO personell for decades, and AFU for example..
..for US elite troops for example often come here to train..
what US call Navy Seals, been training here
aswell as doing training on site and military peace missions..
USA Arctic part is Alaska, not Florida
I would say Swedens submarines is their biggest asset. Because it secures that Russia can't send ships or submarines trough the Baltic Sea. Kaliningrad would in case of war be forced to stand down or be obliterated.
Sweden doesn’t border Russia. Stockholm is closer to Russia than Germany but the south of Sweden is closer to Germany and Poland but we don’t border them either
First advice, never ever have an woman as President or PM! They gonna destroy everything!
The wester part of Finland (the coastlines mainly) was swedish for 600 years or so
As a Swede i was proud of our 200 years of peace but its hard to be so near Russia and not be a member of nato, so i thaught we did the right choice and joined. Thank you Charlie for staying peaceful, war is just awful.
Hello from Switzerland, due to the size of the population, Sweden certainly doesn't have a "huge" armed force, but in addition to the air force, it has some weapon systems that are quite interesting and sometimes different than those of most NATO countries. It is precisely the “different” that could make a significant difference in certain situations. Above all, one should not forget that some of these Nordic countries have had experience with Russian submarines from time to time, which is certainly not uninteresting and could perhaps become important at some point.
US is arctic thanks to Alaska ❄
Turkey and Hungary is a bit lacking in the human rights department and Sweden tends to address such issues. And that's something dictators and semi dictators finds annoying. (And Turkey was using this as a bargaining chip for some military deals with the US).
And I would say that the violation of human rights has been the reason behind every Swedish military intervention on foreign soil in modern times, and not attributed to any alliance.
sweden is very strong
NATO is one big joke, don't be fooled by their WORDS. NATO is just a bunch of Corrupt Office Goblins who are paid by PUTIN and are terrified of his words. They would rather sacrifice UKARINA than sacrifice RUSSIA and PUTIN. Thank you, I know, little UKRAINE, which does the opposite of NATO's request. To not let UKRAINE fire these rockets into RUSSIA and knock out military targets? No doubt NATO is paid for by some major power. Ukarina is braver and only giving support to UKARINA from NATO COUNTRIES will not help them, then NATO would rather give them permission to get PAINBALL rifles and paint bombs. They are sacrificing all of UKRAINE at Putin's words and threats. NATO retreats in the face of a terrorist threat. I feel sorry for the so-called BALTIC NATO members because they are SACRIFICED by NATO. Delle in Sweden
To be honest:
Swedens politicans had a belief in the Baltic ocean as the sea of eternal peace.
But the Swedish people and the finnish has the highest will to fight for their independence.
If you want: No frills, raw power?
Let me present you to the earlier swedish multirole combat aircraft:
JA 37 Tufted duck (Viggen in Swedish). 🙂 In english its called Thunderbolt.
https://youtu.be/KFkbLUwr7vI?si=BXMOBLnNMi4_j_eR
It could more or less take a controlled crash with its landing gears.
18:20 Jas 39 Gripen are already exported to the following countries:
* Czech Republic
* Hungary
* South Africa
* Thailand
* Brazil
* United Kingdom (for jet training)
… and there seem to be a high chance of the Philippines to be added to the list shortly.
Both Finland and Sweden were neutral in name only during the Cold War—Sweden voluntarily and Finland under Soviet pressure. After Soviet Union's collapse both countries started integrating with NATO, which only quickened when Russia invaded and annexed Crimea in 2014. After the full invasion of Ukraine the geopolitical situation changed and Russia's and other authoritarian countries evident war against democratic values and nations there really isn't room for neutrality any more. Also, Sweden not having joined NATO along with Finland would have undermined NATO's position in the Nordics and the Arctic region and also left Sweden vulnerable to Russia's aggressive influencing and possible invasion. In all, staying neutral as Russia's neighboring country doesn't protect country from Russian expansionism—on the contrary. That's why E.g. the Baltic countries joined NATO right away when they gained their independence back after Soviet Union's collapse. Sweden spans north to south almost the exact latitudes as Alaska
Not really sure what Hungary's problem was, but Turkey were angry about Sweden not deporting Kurds
Neutral doesn't mean you can't be attacked!
One key part of understanding Swedish neutrality, is to understand that sweden were never to stand outside conflicts…But rather stand on both sides in a conflict.
We have always suported Israel…as well as palestine…US as well as soviet, the allies, as well as the nazis
After the cold war ended,. there were only one side to support, and we came to grew closer to US…
Add to this, our long history of conflicts with russia and the choice were made…
Shit man, acouple of days ago a squadron of warplanes flew over my house that I had never seen before. Scared the shit out if me, but they didn't get followed or attacked by F16's or Tornado's, then I realised Sweden joined NATO. I had never seen the Saabs, they looked like Russian Migs to me. Took me back to my childhood during the cold war. But aperently now Sweden is allowed to fly over Holland.
the cv90 picture, ahh hell nah
they did PEACEKEEPING MISSIONS, ever heard of that?
Your arctic region is Alaska 🙂
Why can’t we all just be friends…!! ❤️❤️❤️..
