Ancient Carthage is perhaps most famous for its destruction at the hands of the Roman Empire, but what was life like before this fall? Who were the Carthaginians? What were their beliefs and why were they destroyed by Rome.

Wow! The Carthaginians reached Cornwell in England for the Tin trade. They were skilled seafarers and ship builders!
If you did things their way, the Roman's were quite an inclusive people.
If you didn't, well here comes the legions.
Very interesting and informative. Thank you. I really enjoyed it.
Who are the two main speakers in the video? Not the narrator but the other two? They both carry Grey Poupon in their vehicles
it was ahub of sea pirate shipping robbing selling sacred sacrifice virgin kidnaped in temple and cut off east wheat food and mediteraniean trade good…a hub of sea pirate and trade cut off competion to rome it seft..

You're basically repeating the Roman propaganda of blood libel
Another 23-year old documentary that they renamed. It's originally called Lost Treasures of the Ancient World: Carthage – A Journey Back in Time. It's from the year 2000.
So the Roman slander lives till today.
I'm fascinated by Carthage. With the invasion of the Arabs and islam across the Maghreb, its impossible to imagine what the culture of the city and the region would have been like from just looking at present day Tunisia. Tyre, the original capital of the Phoenician Empire indicates that it was most probably a Greco- Mesopotamian style culture with some Persian influences, without doubt a significant jewish community. . A fascinating culture and peoples sadly lost and melded now into other races and cultures.
Carthago delenda est!
Most enjoyable and informative. Nice one team! 🌟👍
Hannibal was a numb nut. The amount of squandered chances he had to finish Rome, and made a right balls-up of it. He had it coming.
The much later conquest of the Middle East and North Africa by the Arabs led to a largely monochrome Islamic culture and Arabic language destroying and replacing the more richly diverse peoples and cultures that had existed beforehand.
Dears when u r making vedio documentaries just make them in parts ,.. u r making them of 3 hours 4 hours ,it's getting cumbersome ,…. make shorts of 30 40 mints will be interesting ,….❤❤❤❤ than,ss
The sacrifice of children was heart wrenching! I respect ancient civilizations, but some were very cruel!
Carthago delenda est. I spent some time in Tunis, among the ruins that remain. Sad analogous irony is the US nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, akin to the razing of Carthage and Corinth.
