  2. Before the Queens death I genuinely didn’t think people took the monarchy so seriously.

I thought the people who were pro-monarchy just thought it was a bit of fun and republicans weren’t really that bothered.(and were themselves having a laugh)

Then Queen died, an event I was a little sad about, and everything went crazy. People getting arrested for being vocally anti-monarchy, and the way it just consumed the entire news cycle.

  3. Where UK kids still starving under her reign, is still single motherhood still a thing in UK under the queen reign ? … Dude what the f did the queen done for the young generation? Like housing wise, public services, development … A queen had a king and yet UK has the most single mother's while she should have been the image of women that value men and yet her kids are a failure and the nephews had their mother assassinated … Dude, how this country worked under her reign when everything is f can any of those old champs that love monarchy can explain because I know this monarchy is a waste of public money

  4. There are many many more people who deserve the public respect and high regard,
    Charles Darwin
    Isak newton
    Stephen hawking
    To name a few,
But the monarchy is NOT one of them,
In fact they should be abolished,
    It's pointless pompous,
People born unto money privilege and power,
    For what!
    Why!

  5. I wasn't a great fan of the Queen. The question I have is why are the Monarchy exempt from race equality laws? The Queen (and charles) were (and Charles still is) privy to laws which will impact them prior to the law going on the statute book and they can request an exemption. What legitimate reason would the Queen have for ensuring the race equality act does not apply to her?

  6. The whole thing was a show of just how pathetic and brainwashed some people are. Fuck the monarchy. Owen Jones coming out with his usual guardian neoliberal crap, "the uk won't be a monarchy in a hundred years", talk about edging your bets. you'll be lucky if the uk exists in a hundred years.

  7. PELE'S DEATH JUST PROVED WHAT EXTENT A TRUE KING'S DEATH PROMOTES AUTHENTIC COMOTION AND GRIEF. This is absolute considering the side comparison with a queen and a pope's death. And he was a black man, an African descendent from one of the world's most unequal society, a shoe shiner who rose to the highest position in the collective unconsciousness and consciousness. A True King amongst men, and for those who knew him, for his humanity.

  8. It was an historic moment, whether you liked her or the royals or not. And history tells its own story, as we know. There's an on /off button on every listening/watching device, so express your free will. I did, and didnt even see Becks🤣

  9. This is mental gymnastics 101, millions watched the funeral on TV 200K queuing for 11 hours is pretty significant.
The "majority" who were queuing were pro monarchy?? Come on, it was all of them, I hate the monarchy. We now have lickspittles queuing up for MBE's OBE's etc
People in the UK are idiots for liking the monarchy, but people in the UK like the rest of the world are contradictory, ie they cry for the queen on Monday, strike for better pay on Tuesday.. let's have more Tuesdays please

  11. Meh, Elizabeth was more than just the monarch, she was an overall decent sort who had "been there" of the vast majority of most people's lives. It was about feeling the continuity of history. I turned up for all the major events to feel the passing of history and I sincerely doubt that number of people would turn up for any other person in the current era.

  12. Compassion and empathy which she demonstrated how?? This is how you know the monarchy business is a cult. They’ve made up this persona of who she was when none of these people really knew her. She was largely silent/indifferent to most things for her own self preservation I don’t want an indifferent leader I want someone who stands for something and takes an active stand and not just when they benefit.
