  1. oh man, the underground place had my jaw dropping for so long, I did not expect to find an entire hidden world under the map like this, one of the most gorgeous areas of the game

  2. Seriously having a lil irk seeing max playtrough since he's going under leveled in most part and wearing equipment from style perspective, but i remember he's streaming, and it will bore his audience if he's grind like hell and easily beat the boss.

  3. I spent so long down here and it was pretty early on. Was such an adventure and had to co-op that boss since I was pretty under leveled but did not want to leave. Love this game so much

  4. At the 1:50 ish minute you should have gotten something from that guy unless you beat the specific one already not sure but judging from your reaction you haven't so maybe your game glitched out. Should get that move as an weapon art

  5. What I love about Siofra River and the whole underground segment is not only is it beautiful, but there's a ton of stuff to do there as well as having several spots where you can just admire the view. Ash Lake in DS1 was gorgeous and the reveal is amazing (although it's really hard to find if playing truly blind) but it was pretty empty outside of the Everlasting Dragon and the Hydra (sure there's Great Magic Barrier, the clams, etc. but it's not that much) and it's very linear, so there's very little reason to revisit it outside of wanting to enjoy the view (which is totally valid). Siofra River has some very VERY annoying enemies (tactical archers good god) but in general there's a lot more to do (including a semi-hidden boss that's really quite great) and more room to move around/more paths.

  6. Praise the Onion Ring!

The exploration is hands down the best part of the game so far, I have encountered many bosses and my bags are full of upgrade mats just from exploring sides of the map.

  7. He missed so much in the underground area and I don't mean just loot. Let's just say there's something there that can make you stay there way longer.

  8. Max saying the game is huge when only seeing like 2 regions lol. Imo the game is too big, I find myself getting bored of roaming now and basically just collect items at this point. There's literally a map underneath the regular map. That's how big the game is

  9. Barricade shield is hands down one of the most powerful defensive abilities early game, you can literally block any physical attack and lose almost zero stamina for the duration of the effect, it makes you super tanky, which is very useful with Great Shields and Guard Counters.

  10. Also for the double cat boss fight, there is an item/magic in the game that allows you to charm enemies so they fight each other (it's one of the stating consumable items), it works in this fight 😁

  11. Horizon is probably as good as a "checklist open world" can get, but this game… this game is on another level, this is how you do it imo.

the joy of exploration in this game is insane.

also the Ancestor Spirit might be the sickest fight in SoulsBorne, the music is insane.
