What The First Year In A Lunar Colony Will Be Like.. We know NASA is planning a trip back to the moon in the next few years with the Artemis missions but once we get there what will it be like to live on the moon? We take a look at what the first year on the moon would look like for a Lunar colony.

  1. 4:40 we can always come back.. "We'll need to buy a few rides from SpaceX, probably not more than half a dozen."
Now your reliant on Lexcorp for survival, have you seen his track record for dealing with humans? What the hell is that gonna cost?

  2. 13:42 this section is why it will turn into a penal colony. Pressurized lava tube mining colonies, cascade rad shielding and meteorite reinforcement, regolith gathering and surface equipment work, but you only have a year of times work to be on the surface. Your not gonna have a lot of takers. Where might an "advanced" nation might get such a labor pool…
Use to confinement in small artificial areas, tight and detailed schedules, rigorous physical conditioning, poor and hazardous conditions?

  3. CLICK BAIT!!!! You all need to get a real life, The fantasies you imagine are fake thoughts that won't make you 10 cents. Get a real life and a real job, and think about those. Also, don't forget to take your psyche meds.

  4. What a waste of taxpayer money or corporate funds.
Military advantage may be the real reason for going back to the moon. Apollo 13 is believed to have been struck by a meteorite by many engineers.

  5. The moon is a waste of time and resources. Mars is far easier to colonize than the moon. The moon has no atmosphere. Mars has a thin co2 atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a mixture of carbon and oxygen. Take out the carbon, use it to make things and u have the oxygen to breathe and make rocket fuel. There is no water ice on the moon. The idea that there is ice on the bottom of craters is mostly theory. Where as rovers have scratched the surface of Mars and visible water ice exists. Mars has a day nite cycle of about 24 hours. This means the day nite cycle allows normal sleeping rythem on mars and allows the use of solar green houses and use of solar panels. All the elements we need have been found in the martian soil. Not so on the moon. Read the book mars direct. Dr zubrins explains that we have all the raw materials on mars to make breathing oxygen, oxygen for rocket fuel, can make water from the ice, can grow food, etc. We can build homes underground for thermal and radiation protection. The moon may be closer to earth but u need to bring more thing to the moon in order to live. Mars is farther away but it has more resources to foster human life….. Again read Dr zubrins book…..the case for mars. Nasa is a waste of time. The shuttle to no where, the I s s, the sls and Artemis programs are all wastes of tax payer money! SpaceX and Dr zubrins can get us to mars faster and cheaper than nasa. If u want to go to mars,……support Dr zubrins and SpaceX. If u want to squander billions of dollars and more decades of time support nasa and a corrupt govt and big business structure and a corrupt Congress……

  6. NO , NO .
The next people on the moon will stay for long endurance .
    Perhaps 3 months.
Then we will work our way up to 1yr missions .
The Chinese will compete with us for a military base on the bright side of the moon .
I believe China wants to control the Solar System .
Controlling the moon is the 1st step to doing this .
    DML .
