Jets need to either get Carr or Jimmy G they are a top defensive team. They have good skill position players, Becton is coming back, and they can make the oline better in the draft.

Carr and the Jets are a BAD fit for 1 major reason… Carr is all about integrity and the citizens of NYC would sell their souls for a trophy. New Yorkers want flash and glam and Derek Carr is a wholesome, family man. New York doesn't care what you have to do to win and Carr wants to win, but only if he wins "the right way".
Derek Carr and New York City are about as polar opposite as you will ever find and that city doesn't have enough integrity to deal with having a guy like Derek Carr as a QB.

Lets be fair to Carr. He doesn't play D – which the Raiders have positioned dead last in the last 10yrs years, or 162 games. They have conceded 4,283 points in that period, 276 more than the next worst D….the Atlanta Falcons. It's perspective, and his record would be far better if the other side of the ball wasn't truly dreadful.
Let's say he gets a top 5 D again next year at the Jets. I'd take him every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
Despite that awful D, and having an awful lot less time of poss on the field, the Raiders still averaged 21.3 ppg in the last decade. The Jets would have been a 12W playoff team with 21pts per game last year. Not sure what the Jets brass are thinking about?

It’s the Jets, it doesn’t matter.
The thing is Zack Wilson lost the locker room. You don't stay with him. Not to say he might not come back with another franchise and prove himself.
How anyone thinks we keep Wilson is insane. Kid clearly isn’t a personality to stand behind in the locker room. His attitude with a veteran coming to New York was “I’ll make his life hell” is the wrong attitude. Garropolo sat behind Brady for years and here he is now with huge success.
I get Wilson’s young but we have a dynamite defense and those men don’t deserve to wait 2 years for Wilson to get a grip. We lose them in the process and we are stuck waiting another 8-10 years for a top defensive team.
Rodgers has the guts, the arm, and the ability to say “give me the team and I’ll lead them” we need LEADERSHIP in the locker room our guys are hungry for a win with a franchise that’s ready to shower these dudes with legendary status.

Only get Derek Carr for veteran minimum, otherwise he's not worth it, Derek Carr isn't the missing piece Jets are searching for. He's 63-79 QB who struggles to win games even with good receivers and he's going to demand 40+mil thinking he's an "elite" qb…rofl Let him dream and Carolina or some desperate franchise pick up Derek and miss the play off again.
Jets go for Baker Mayfield cheap crazy and competitive is going to work well. Go for Derek Carr by far is going to be better that sign Aaron Rodgers that is only going to give you "2" years in over average numbers. Derek Carr will give you 4-5 years. Baker Mayfield is just to make the competition better in the 2 QB spot with white and Baker. Don't sign Aaron will destroy the whole team progression in 2 year.
Jets won games despite the offense, Carr won games despite the defense.. sounds good to me. But really it seems it's between Carr and Rodgers, plus I think Carr will wait on Rodgers to go first.
