What Musk’s SpaceX just DID is embarrassing NASA! Here Why?
SpaceX’s meteoric rise to prominence has reshaped the space industry in ways unforeseen just a decade ago.
Once considered a lucky startup in a field dominated by longstanding giants like NASA and Boeing, SpaceX has defied expectations in ways that no one has ever achieved in the realm of space exploration.
Their journey from a scrappy startup to an industry leader has been marked by a series of groundbreaking achievements that have fundamentally transformed the way we perceive and engage with outer space.
This has been like a splash of cold water on NASA – the US space agency has been unable to do it for many decades.
So what exactly did SpaceX do? and how did they do it?
And why hasn’t NASA been able to do this in the past, and even in the future they are far from being able to do it?
Let’s find out in today’s episode of Alpha Tech.

  1. Yeah, totally agree we don’t need nasa anymore, we have SpaceX StarShip. NASA wastes too much money, like Vulcan rocket 😮. It’s all non reusable, all falls in ocean. Once StarShip flies, it will make all other rockets obsolete.

  2. And its only gonna get worse for NASA and Boeing, unless they get off their tubes, and get with fabrication and simplified engines…

They have the potential, just lack the imagination and leadership.

NASA & Boeing have the skill sets together,
Could adopt stainless fabrication, simplified cryro engines, and come up with the Super Shuttle…

But Low Hormone Bureaucracy isnt gonna get them there.

I'll bet on Elon, and the other coming start ups.

    Not Dinosaur Corporations and Agencies.

If Elon boots Starship, and then realizes he has the lift tech to create an early Tubular Space Elevator, to pump oxy and methane into LEO, and then reliquify them there, its pretty much game over, as he will have the best Tramp Freighter Lifters, and own the gas stations.

And everyone else will be paying him for a fill up…. sure you know the routine… "Get your windows sir?"

Then he could also tanker fuel to the Moon and Mars, and drop them in another Tube unit. And basically be the Standard Oil of the solar system.

Best he start thinking of an X word for his brand?

    KryroX?

  3. NASA is doing what it can , and part of that is bringing on the private companies , building resilliance in haveing multiple systems and companies that can provide services , but it takes time , NASA still does things no 1 else have ever done , showed us all the solar system , sent machines that will never comeback , rovers on mars lasting years and even a helicoptor (a private company build ) your congress fks them over NASA would,ve built SLS , but congress demanded it , and to use these boosters , and these engines ,because there made in states of congressmen , there simply is no replacing NASA for the pure science we get , in exploration ,or in tech that come from there programs

  4. Screw you.
NASA freely shared decades of research with Spacex and they work hand in hand.
Much of the technology Musk uses was developed by NASA and NASA gives him TONS of money.

NASA's problem is political, depending upon the US congress for funding, and they are 🤡🤡🤡.

  5. Emergency!!!
Baffles will not work to prevent the slushing problem, because the tanks of Starship system are too large.
The tanks of Starship and superheavy need 2 disks valves, expanding the diameter of each tank. One of the disks rotates above the other disk to close the overlaping holes on the surface of the disks; to reduce the Size of the tank by dividing it, before any rotation of the rocket. This will prevent slushings and protect the plumbing, if located 10% above the bottom section of each tank. Large telescopic pistons can be attached below the bottom of disk valves to control the fuel pressure as the piston expands into the fuel.
I have built a model that works perfectly. The second disk valve can be located 10% below the front of the tank, to also protect the front of the tanks from the slushing forces.
Why is Elon not using four pins instead of three to secure each heat tyle? What is more important than that?😊

  6. They always talk of just the fuel cost to launch a starship how about the cost to build it who pays for that. ? It's not going to be space x . It'll probably be at least the same as falcon , cost amortized over a dozen flights or so. Someone has to pay those almost 2000 space x employees, each week. They're not working for free.

  7. Correction, Constellation was deliberately cancelled by Obama so he could diminish the United States and embolden the Russians by paying $93 million a seat on their rockets. "Tell Valdimer I'll have more flexibility after the election."–Barrack Hussein Obama. Bush II was not much better.

  8. The reason NASA can not do what SpaceX did is actually simple. NASA is about can't do and Elon is about can do. Elon removes Dibert bosses type in all his organizations and let's engineers like Dilbert do what they are good at. Nobody talks about how organizations are managed by technically illiterate managers and their high opportunity costs due to their technical ignorance. Nobody. When the ceo of Volkswagen said, all employees that can not code a video game need to be fired… he was sacked a few weeks later.

  9. Not sure what Astronaut is alleged to have made the comment just before a Launch, but it was like the early Gemini series (Two Astronaut seats), and goes something like this, . . . How's it feel knowing that everything underneath us was built by the Lowest Bidder ? Urban Legend or True, I think it was said.

  10. Great Video ! NASA management killed two Crews of the failed Space Shuttle program ! The Sierra Space Dream Chaser is what the NASA Space Shuttle should have been ! Go SpaceX, Go Blue Origin, Go ULA, Go Sierra Space and others… The Tech developed to return to the moon to stay, can take US to Mars and beyond-Ad Astra… tjl

  11. To answer the question, Why hasn't NASA been able to do what SpaceX can and is doing- and in a much shorter 'space' of time? How about… diverting funds elsewhere. And perhaps even having a secret space programme and are streets ahead but keeping it to themselves for whatever reasons. Perhaps captured by secret government interests? I don't know for sure but remember the 1960s when NASA went from Ground Zero to the Moon in… seven years. Think about that !!!
