My therapist joked most love songs are codependent lmfao
That's some great songs right there! Happy Valentine's Day everybody! 💚❤️
🕊️♥️🎼 … Always enjoy the Sunday morning segments. Song writers and authors perpetually amaze me. 🙏🏻 😌
Let's not forget:
"Don't Know Much" – Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt.
Interesting segment but I don't see how you can ignore "Falling Slowly" from the 2007 film, "Once."
I saw the film when it first came out in three different theaters and also subsequently showed it in my Film Study class to high-school juniors and seniors over the last ten years. And the reactions to this sequence in each setting from each is the same: total stillness. They are mesmerized. It's not only the quality of the lyrics and melody but the voices of the two singer-actors blending together.
You are literally watching something abstract become palpable: two human beings falling in love.
Here it is (albeit with scenes from the film edited within it):

What makes a great love song, is the attitude it has, the rhythm built into it, and also a good relatable story, to what the character in the song feels, and much, much more.
I will always love cocaine.
I love these segments. I learn something new each time!
Jim Steinman still the best songwriter…
Elvis's song I can't Help Falling in Love with you is a great love song.
A great love song has a memorable melody and contains lyrics that resonate with the listener. The sixties, seventies and eighties had the best music in my opinion.
Great show since its Valentine's. I have to admit I've been a Fan of Jane since I was a kid . I sure I'm not the only one that had a boyhood Crush on her . I still think she's Beautiful and a woundful Pearson. Happy Valentine's day Jane❤❤❤ I'm glad she did this show She's perfect for bringing Heart Warming News.
This segment could’ve been a really great one if Anthony Mason did it
Great story! If you like Nick Sloan, he also cohosts a great podcast that dissects the popular songs of today called Switched On Pop. Highly recommend! 😊
Sorry folks, but here's the perfect love song….
CHERISH by The Association
Listen to the lyrics, let the instruments move you with their great sounds. And it gets right to the point!
Love this news report — creative process of a love ❤️ song. Thank you.
Diane Warren not winning an Oscar is a total embarassment to the academy.
Must be authentic. Happy Valentines Day in advance. ♥️ Got so inspired and had to create my own song

Love songs remind me of recipes, you just have the right mixture of ingredients, otherwise there's nothing to the formula
Oh my goodness…Marvin Gaye
Gabriel shouldn't quit his day job 😘
What an awesome stage, Jane. You look beautiful. The story was great and the ending was icing on the cake. 😊
Love relationships need to be described differently from the first time.
❤❤ Speechless! As the love itself !
In the shallows song is terrible compared to all the great song featured here.
6:14 "I will trap you in a cell" Best clip. Needed a good laugh today lol
That's like asking a Millipede which leg is their favorite
Had a college professor say if you relationship is not ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’ then you should get out of it. That was 1991 n have never forgotten that measuring stick.
In their coverage of the passing of Burt Bacharach – you did not mention the name of Dionne Warwick. I sometimes think CBS' Mo Rocca omits critically important Black leaders – because he is emotionally and/or socially challenged. I now think that they intentionally chose to dismiss Burt & Dion's relationship – because of extreme racism. I changed the channel. CBS needs a timeout.
Dolly Parton's original version is the best.
Nothing says I Love You better than a royalty check from having your song played a million times on the radio $cha ching$
My favorite version of "I Will Always Love You" is Linda Ronstadt's – unpopular opinion, I know. Whitney's version says "Listen how powerful my voice is. Listen to my vocal theatrics." Linda's says "I know you don't want to be with me anymore and I am heartbroken, but I will never stop loving you."
6:08 Good thing Casey Kasem wasn't there to go from that uptempo G-D number to what sounds like somebody dying. Is Don on the phone?
if I may ask, is 47 too old for a man to make a happy home when he find a sincerely woman?
I never knew Elvis's song "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You" was reinvented from a 1784 French love song! "Plaisir D'Amour" 😳
