Coming back to the original question, what made Resident Evil: Revelations one hell of a game? It’s pretty hard to pin down exactly since the answer would most likely depend upon what you value most in a Resident Evil game – the story, the gameplay, the scares, or the boss fights – or perhaps the portable nature of this experience.
But I think the most interesting thing about the game has to be the sweet middle ground that the game manages to reach; combining the claustrophobic levels and backtracking of the originals with a smooth third-person shooter combat loop inspired by modern shooters results in an experience that’s the best of both worlds – and I think that is what has helped Revelations in garnering a long-standing legacy for itself.

All the resident evil games are great one of the best series in the game industry..
Revelations was a great game it was just released in a horrible time were Survival Horror Games weren't popular.
I literally bought It a couple hours ago, and this video Just came out 💀
i personally liked resident evil revelations 2 way more then 1 mostly because revelations 2 brought back a old favorite that has been missing for a very long time and that was Barry burton.
I played Resident Evil Revelations 1 I got the missile launcher Revelations 2 I got the special weapons I unlocked infinite ammo but the special weapons was ridiculously hard to get
I had to beat the time mode I think the other mode was called infinite mode I forget where the zombies disappears you can't see them and the bosses oh my God I wanted to bang my head if they remaster these games I hope that these games carry over your save file because I don't want to do the time trial mode or the infinite mode I forget what it's called but you know what I mean
A lot of Resident Evil fans when they saw those achievements they were surprised their eyes got big you have to be very skilled to get the special weapons in Resident Evil Revelations 2 and yes I was that skilled to get them
The first one was / is great. The second one is bottom tier RE for me. I stick it with stuff like RE6. Playable, not Umbrella Corps horrible. But far from the first RE game I'd pick off the shelf.
I'll admit even if people disagree, being able to see Jill's ass in that wet suit sure was some sweet eye candy.
I thought it was great, especially raid mode, would love to see raid mode with the new re engine.
On the 3ds its one of the crispiest game on the platform. I STILL pop it in from time to time.
Oh yeah it’s definitely one hell of a game I loved it more than resident evil 5 especially since revelations had a better story and better boss fights plus we all loved playing as Jill
But speaking of which at some point Parker Jessica Raymond quint and kieth all need to return we’ve only seen them once they need to come back along with Josh stone sheva alomar Ashley Graham Carlos olivera Helena Harper and Jake muller
This is just me, though I enjoyed Revelations but I think Revelations 2 is better, had a great time playing Barry's campaign.
One hell of a game, it was a truly good experience, all the sea setting was really fresh and new, and this game has a nice pacing and a really nice creativity on bosses and history
Not only making up for 5 and 6 but adding a bit of mystery to it as well
As much as i love jill, i couldnt bring myself to play this dreamcast title😂
Really liked this game. While I liked part 2, part 1’s atmosphere was so much better, and I dug the creepy monsters and scanning everything
Zero Replay Value.
Revelations 2 is 10x better.
These games was ported on Xbox and Playstation also
I like Revelations 2 more, the records in that game increases replayability that the first Revelations does not have. The raid mode in REV 2 is also more engaging with amazing songs.
Played through Revelation 1&2 I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the first one, but I also like some of the open areas in the second one, hopefully the third entry will merge the best of both worlds when Capcom finally decide to reveal the 3rd entry in the future ~
Something I appreciate is that this video was posted while the game is on sale virtually everywhere 🙂
Revelations was one hell of game — on Nintendo 3DS. At the time, I couldn't believe the quality could be that good on a handheld device.
1:56 That wording and timing was pure perfection.
After 6 that almost ruined the series, Revelations saved it all.
I just completed both revelations titles and I must say they were pretty damn good! I liked 2 better( obviously) because ol bad ass Barry Burton.
I've replayed this game so many times. I was always scanning something, and I practicing my dodge/side-step.
This game is dogshit I’m sorry. It’s disgusting people can settle for mediocre games these days just because it toned down where re6 went a bit over board. The movement is so clunky. Don’t get me started in the dodging. The enemy design is straight terrible. You get the rifle and most enemies are a one shot apart from the mini bosses like Rachel and the fat bitches. The dialogue is a bore fest. The plot just another recycled story where guess what, the guys who work for the good guys are actually evil.
REVELATIONS-2 Is One Of The Most Underrated Games Of All Time.
It's N4 In My Most Beloved RE Games Just Behind RE2 RE4 & RE8.
Except that the game was dog shit lmao
Still hoping for Revelations 3 with Rebecca as the main protagonist.
Weird coincidence, I just got the game yesterday.
One reason: Jill's butt
I loved more of the traditional style of this game. Revelations 2 felt like a cheap copy mix between the Last of Us and The Evil Within. Especially with Barry looking like Joel.
This game was so much better than 2, the same way 5 is leagues ahead of 6.
REv2 way better imo
Um, Revelations 1&2 aren’t spin off’s bro, they’re mainline.
I honestly thought Revelations 1 was better then 2. 1 had that classic resident evil formula, cool take being on the ship, the action sections suck but there is some really great Resident Evil in there 2 didn't click with me, eventhough I really enjoyed Barry.
The game needs to be played on its original platform, the 3DS. Especially RAID MODE
Why? Because Capcom screwed up Raid Mode up on home consoles. The balance is way off there.
On the 3DS , Raid Mode is entirely enjoyable as soon as you start playing it. Because its very beginner friendly. Most players on 3DS speed through the campaign just to unlock Raid Mode. Where they spend 99.9% of their time with the game. Because that mode is so enjoyable there.
But on home consoles, Raid Mode is a frustrating and tedious GRIND FEST.
The 3DS version allows playing Raid Mode in Co-Op. However, on that platform its relatively easy to beat "Abyss Mode" (Hell Mode) even by yourself with no Co-Op whatsoever.
Meanwhile on Home Consoles, you soon begin to hit a wall when trying to beat Raid Mode by yourself even on NORMAL MODE. Enemies are ridiculous bullet sponges. And your weapons have little effect on them even if you're at the level recommended by the game. So you are either forced to GRIND for better weapons or you have no choice but to find a PRO PLAYER to take your hand and beat the levels for you with Co-Op.
Capcom made those changes in Raid Mode because they thought that home consoles gamers were more open to co-op gaming. So Raid Mode was now redesigned to be "properly" played with Co-Op.
Which is a huge problem because these days, anyone that buys Revelations on Home Consoles is gonna have trouble finding people online to play with. There is barely anyone online now.
And beating Raid Mode by yourself is such a huge grind that doesn't respect your time.
So yeah, any fan of Raid Mode out there should get the 3DS version.
The campaign is pretty much the same there except the lack for a new enemy type and cosmetic changes.
I want revelation 3 with rebecca as a main character
So I’d say it’s safe to assume we’re all on board in wanting to see Jill return in Revelations 3
Easily top 5 best Resident Evil
The game is awesome
