What Made Resident Evil: Code Veronica One Hell of A Game?

Arguably the truest sequel to Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil – Code: Veronica bares all the hallmarks of classic, quintessential Resident Evil, and whilst its notoriety has risen in recent years it’s a shame it’s been largely forgotten.

  1. This should definitely get a remake, and so should the first resident evil game. Like I know that Resident Evil 1 already haves a remake, but I would like a remake on the Re Engine because it would like absolutely amazing. And plus I don't think I can play it after playing the Resident Evil 2 Remake, and I don't like the fixed over the top camera angles.

  2. I remember playing CV when I was young and struggling so hard lol. It felt good going back and playing CVX as an adult and seeing the game through to the end.

  3. I'm praying they remake this. It's cannon, follows Claires story directly following RE2. And was easily a lot more dated and clunky compared to RE4. Capcom could flush out the story and make it flow a lot better. If anything, this game should get the "capcom cut" as compared to the changes they made in the RE3 remake.

Also, a RE1+RE0 remake in the modern RE engine would rule. And let's not forget Dino Crisis!

  5. This game has been overlooked so bad even when it released. I didn’t have a Dreamcast back then and I wanted one so bad because of Code Veronica. I was ecstatic when I knew it was gonna be for PS2. I played the hell out of it and continue to do so til this day. One of the best installments imo. I love Claire and I wish we can get more of her in the future. I would love a remake of Code Veronica

  6. This was my FIRST RE game

Had it bought for me in early spring of 2002 & since it was my very first I didn't know WTF to do

I was only 4 & not knowing how to equip the lighter in the jail cell sequence to proceed the game took me 40 minutes

I could of had the game returned but I didn't…I pushed through & by force I managed to Speedrun Claire's entire first section up before fighting nosferatu as a 4 year old

RE4'S remake has me somewhat pleased but nothing will compare WHEN CV gets an official announcement & teaser trailer

Only then I'll understand the excitement people had towards RE4'S remake announcement teaser trailer

I must of apeedran Claire's entire run up until Chris's 50+ times since I never could beat the game in 1 go like the other entries

  7. Had this on the dreamcast and it ended up becoming my 2nd favorite Resident Evil Game behind Resident Evil 2. Great and frustrating as hell memories playing on the dreamcast with the crazy controller it had lol.

  8. Hate to burst everyone’s bubble on this but there will not be a remake of code Veronica.

Capcom has confirmed in an interview that the next remake is RE 1 in the style of the new remakes.

They have stated they will not remake code Veronica or RE 5 or any RE after that.

B/W code Veronica had incest and a bunch of weird shit in it. You guys that want a remake of it so bad are freaks

  9. Code Veronica was in much more dire need of a remake than RE4. I think we will be getting a Code Veronica remake after RE4, but I think RE1 will get the remake treatment first. I expect we'll see CV remake after RE9.

  10. For some reason I dont think over the shoulder person will work for this game. I think it would be better suited with the resident evil 1 remake treatment. It is bizarre why they would skip over Code Veronica to remake. Would it have to do with sales from 2000? Can't be.
