Covid-19 cases are rising again.
There are more variants as the virus mutates and develops as it spreads.
That presents challenges to scientists developing vaccines to cope with the new threats.
The World Health Organization says it wants its experts to return to China to find out more about the origins of the disease.
So how much of a danger is this latest wave?

  1. It’s pathetic they can’t even tell people to do the basic thing and wear a mask. I know this will be a lightning rod for right wing trolls, but wear a well fit N95. You don’t want long covid, which is a good sized risk, even if the initial infection is mild or the person is vaxxed

  2. COVID started in the USA which is why the USA is by far the worst hit COVID country in the world. These INCOMPETENT Americans had thought that they were experiencing a particularly bad influenza season until China was smart enough to genetically sequence the virus and say, "No, this is NOT influenza." We want sanctions against these violent American TERRORISTS and war criminals for starting COVID. Thanks to China for saving the world. Long Live India & China.

  3. How can there be immunity to the virus when it mutates constantly? You might have immunity to the current virus of the day, but you have no idea how many variants are afoot. In essence, there is no immunity. One should still get vaccinated and boosted, but we need to mask, test, isolate when necessary, and improve HEPA ventilation and UV light disinfection. We should assume that we are infected and that others are infected. 40-60% of infection spread is asymptomatic. Take care of yourselves and others. The only way out is to stop the spread!

  4. 7 nations = half of global C-19 cases & deaths w the US topping both lists.
What kind of scam-demic is that? WTF wrong w US medical care??

    12E6 US deaths since 1/1/20.

    C-19 accounts for 8.2%.

    75% of C-19 deaths among 65+ w 15% of population.

Grim Reaper culling too old & sick Medicare/caid cash cows in badly run (BLUE) eldercare warehouses.
