  1. Tears of The Kingdom is really just Banjo-Tooie.

All the old locations you want to go to either stop you short, modify them to be destroyed, or simply aren’t accessible.

  2. I felt a level of sadness and confusion when I found out by myself. On one hard, it’s no surprise that it would go abandoned and overgrown over the years. On the other hand, it still doesn’t answer my question on what happened to all the Sheikah tech and how they were taken apart. At least the water from the shrine still heals us 😂

  3. Lot of fan-fiction writers in the comments I see…

Hate to burst all your bubbles, but Nintendo simply retconned the old Sheikah tech out. NO WHERE in TOTK do they confirm what happened to the old Sheikah tech, so dont bother saying "oh the sheikah dismantled it all" or "oh the gloom ate it all". We literally have no answer and Nintendo wont give us one.

  4. I literally just dis this today, and it got me thinking: where is all the Shieka technology? All the old shrines, the old towers, the guardians, and the shrine of resurrection all of it is gone. So what happened to all of it.

  5. If there is DLC planned for TOTK, I'm hoping they explain what happened to all the Sheikah tech and structures or a dev comes out and says it was all just retconned out if that's the case.

Seeing the Shrine of Resurrection turned into a normal cave is disappointing.

  6. Ok now that I've finished the game they HAVE to make the dlc about where the hell the sheikah stuff went right??? The plot basically retcons them out of existence

  7. Tbh, its been a few canon years between botw and totk, so it isnt that surprising to see stuff missing. Especially sheikah tech due to how much destruction it caused under ganons control. People where probably worried, so it was destroyed. The shrine of resurection was probably destroyed by the yiga clan, but the water was kept due to its healing ability.
Its interesting seeing the world having to go further back with the tech due to the pure destruction and harm it caused just for even more ancient and unknown tech to appear.
