The United States of today exists only because the Revolutionaries of the late 1700s won their war for independence from the British monarchy. However, winning was not always a sure thing. The British were better equipped, supplied, trained, and positioned to win against the Continental Army. But they also made a few key mistakes that ultimately cost them the war. So what if the 13 colonies lost their war for independence?

  2. Canada and many other parliamentary systems very much do not have proportional representation as you described it here. They don’t just divide up the votes and assign MPs proportionally. Each MP represents a riding, which is essentially the same as a congressional district. Whoever gets the most votes in the riding becomes the MP. In fact it’s fairly common in canada to have the majority party (i.e. the party with the majority of the MPs) receive a minority of the votes.

  3. I don’t think it’s accurate to put all Africa within the American area of influence. Especially considering Chinese investment.

Other than that, I have no issues and this was a well structured, accurate and enjoyable video.

    Good work !

  4. To say nothing of the Quebec Act of 1774, which enshrined Quebecois control of the Midwest or the Royal Proclamation of 1763, which enshrined Native control of the South and no colonist migration.

As such, the current US would be 33% English, 33% Native and 33% French.

  5. The founders did not create a democracy.
    They created a Constitutional Republic.
Nowhere in the founding documents of the U.S. can the word Democratic or Democracy be found.
When a person asked Benjamin Franklin what form of government the Constitutional convention had created , Franklin replied " A Republic if you can keep it." or words to that effect.
