What If Stannis Baratheon Defeated The Lannisters at Blackwater Part 2

What If Stannis Baratheon Defeated The Lannisters at Blackwater Part 2 Let’s explore the depths of it in the video.

If the video reaches 2,000 likes, a part 3 will be made

Tyrion quietly sips his wine, brooding over his recent success with the War of the Five Kings. Though Stannis initially won the Battle of the Blackwater, Faith’s anger at Stannis ensured that Tyrion managed to claw back power, turning the commoners against him and reclaiming the city for House Lannister.

And the cherry on top of that is it also resulted in the death of his dear father, Tywin. This leaves Tyrion as effectively the sole ruler in the capital. His first act is to have Tommen name him the Hand of the King and Regent of the Seven Kingdoms.

Now his first course of action is to divide up the spoils. Though he allows Davos and the remnants of Stannis’ army to return home, he first demands that they return Dragonstone to the crown, installing a garrison loyal to him there to ensure that no one can effectively blockade the city.

Meanwhile, he recognizes the High Sparrow as the new High Septon of the Seven Kingdoms and orders those knights and men-at-arms captured throughout the war to serve as their protectors to ensure that the faith can be rebuilt. It is a compromise to ensure that they are protected but also to prevent them from rearming themselves.

The Dornish receive a marriage alliance between Doran’s son, Trystane, and Tyrion’s niece Mycella while Tyrell’s daughter Margery will marry Tommen when he comes off age. For a moment, it seems like the South is at peace. Even the North and Riverlands have accepted his peace terms, giving Tyrion a chance to begin his reign in peace.

The only sticking point remains the Ironborn who have never formally paid fealty. The only terms they send are offering an alliance if the crown recognizes their gains in the North, terms that Tyrion rejects. However, since the North is independent, it also means he has no obligation to aid them. Instead, they are free to handle their defenses.

However, before he can press that further, he hears of trouble in the Reach as the Ironborn begin their attack on the Shield Islands and along the coast. Euron proves to be a crafty leader who uses unusual tactics to ambush their fleets. More importantly, a large part of their fleet is still committed to the Siege of Storm’s End.

Before a proper response can be organized, “the Shields” is already taken, giving them a foothold to raid the Reach and expose the coastline. Tyrion reluctantly allows the Redwyne fleet to break off their blockade in Storm’s End.

Although he tries to offer them turns, allowing the garrison to leave unharmed if they bend the knee and hand over the castle to a Lannister force, they refuse. Instead, the rebel Stormlanders crown his daughter, Shireen as queen of the Seven Kingdoms. A bold claim, but with only Storm’s End and a handful of minor castles, it effectively is meaningless.

For now, his war is with the Ironborn. But moving the ships across the Seven Kingdoms is difficult and during that time, Euron rampages across the coast, practically unchecked, raiding and burning whatever he wishes.

Euron proves craftier than either one of his brothers or nephews. Instead of holding land, he willingly sacrifices it, leaving only small garrisons or unreliable vassals that delay his enemies while the core of his fleet arrives. The bulk of his forces are said to be heading to Old Town, the largest city in the Reach. If that were to fall, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Tyrion offers a ship from the west and sends part of the Lannister fleet to reinforce them.

Soon, the waters south of Oldtown churn with activity as the three fleets converge: the Lannister ships, bolstered by the strength of Oldtown’s fleet set sail for the city from the north while from the east the returning Redwyne forces finally arrive at the Reach.

In between these two are the Ironborn longships, huddled underneath Euron’s black sails. His flagship, Silence holds for a moment—ominous and unnatural—as the sun catches the glint of steel from the Ironborn longships.

But though unnerved, the Lannister and Reach forces attack.. Horns blast, sails unfurl, and the Westerosi fleet surges forward in a coordinated pincer maneuver. From the north, Oldtown’s warships cut through the waves, bearing down on Euron’s flank. From the easy, the Redwyne fleet spreads like a crimson tide.

Even the more evasive Ironborn longships cannot possibly escape. Instead, Euron watches this from the prow of Silence, laughing as his ship surges forward to help the outer ships of his defense force.

These vessels are made up of lesser houses and those whose loyalty is suspect. As a result, they are fish food for the Westerosi fleet. Dozens of ships go up in splinters as the massive war galleys rush into them. While some desperately try to grapple onto the larger ships

  1. Cant see the queen of dragons ever accepting a marriage alliance with any Ironborn given how cruel their society is and especially how they more or less have slavery in the form of thralls

  2. After some drama on the south park community, can you prove this is not an AI content channel? Your uploads seem too frequent and the narrator sounds just off to me. Also aegon the 4th? You skipped 2 aegons

  3. Worst one yet, many contradictions from part one, the high sparrow survived the temple explosion while Stannis and Melisandre died, and then Melisandre is alive again in this one. Also the ironborn as not nearly as powerful as you make them out to be, they're good on the sea but on land they are not very good fighters compared to other armies. they also have the smallest army out of the entire 7 kingdoms. Oldtown is just a fortified as King's landing, it used to the capitol of its own kingdom before the targaryens came, the iron born would need siege engines to get past the walls. In any scenario where Young Griff and Danny are both alive, they would marry each other, combine their forces, and then retake the iron throne.

  4. Day one of what if Harry Potter was Robert Baratheon first son? Like, a woman who was ordered by Cersei to get rid of him was a witch and decided to save the child instead, sending him on Earth far away from Westeros.

And after the death curse of Voldemort hit him in the forest, it did destroy the Horcruxe but a chain reaction of magic sends Harry back to Westeros.

  5. The disappointment all those houses that wed Danny only for her to actually be infertile. Idk if in these what ifs she is or not but that would be funny. If she can have children there should be a trial by combat for any that want to be upgraded to rock husband.

  7. a question to dear viewers and creators, if dany wills it wont it consider it done? she has 3 dragons, baristan the fucking bold, khalasar, second sons, iron born and unsullied (plus many more who would follow her from essos) . if she were to just go fire and blood the seven kingdoms would bend the knee. aegon managed that (excluding dorne) without an army?

  8. I’ve been watching so many of these theory videos recently from multiple channels, this is BY FAR the best channel! Only recommendation I would make for part II (and any subsequent) videos would be a very short catch-up regarding the important parts from Part I. For instance, I couldn’t remember why Tyrion was still in a position of power despite the Lannisters losing. Still a great video
