Aunt Beru falls to the ground and urges Luke to escape. He manages to slip out of the house and begins running. When he glances back, he sees a figure in all black chasing after him, carrying a blood-red lightsaber.

Suddenly, his foot slips on a rock and he tumbles. Reva smiles as she catches up to the boy. But as she approaches, a shadow forms between them as a second figure appears.

Revan: Not a step further.

Reva: Who are you?

Revan: A bringer of death or a savior of life. Depending on if you choose to be foolish.

Reva: I will have my revenge.

Revan: A fool it is then.

He reaches into his belt and a stunning purple lightsaber ignites. Just in time too as Reva rushes forward, her crimson blade spinning as she tries to strike him. But as she stabs at his belly, Revan sidesteps her attack and catches her lightsaber, pushing her arm down. With his free hand, he grabs onto her face and shoves her back.

Stumbling into the sand, Reva snarls and unleashes a flurry of attacks. But Revan dodges these easily, and when he does parry, the force of his movements is enough to send her stumbling.

Revan: Predictable. Are all dark-side users now so unimpressive?

Anger builds in the Inquisitor who activates the spinning mechanism in her lightsaber and rushes at him. This time, there is no way for Revan to block her attacks. So rather than dodge, he simply extends his hand out and the lightsaber freezes in place as he uses the Force to keep the mechanism from moving.

Reva can only watch in surprise as Revan’s lightsaber comes down and takes her head off. Meanwhile, Luke watches this in shock as the Jedi approaches him and offers a hand.

Revan: This place is no longer safe. Come with me if you want to live.

Luke: W-who are you?

Revan: My name is Revan. I am a Jedi and I am here to keep you safe.

He glances towards the farm where Owen and Beru are starting to step out, Revan deactivates his lightsaber and nods to them. He explains how Luke may no longer be safe and offers to take him to safety.

At first, the couple is unsure, especially since Obi-Wan is nowhere to be seen. But seeing everything that just happened and how close they were to being killed by a lone, inexperienced Inquisitor, they reluctantly agreed.

With that, Revan takes Luke by the hand and takes him to his ship. Once they are safe from danger, the ancient Jedi explains his story. He explains how he sensed a great turmoil in the Force and this awakened him. But when he woke up, he found no Jedi. All he did sense was darkness and a glimmer of light, a glimmer that led him to Luke.

Revan: I believe that this was a sign from the Force telling me to train you.

Luke: Me? But I’m just a boy? I’m no warrior.

Revan: Perhaps now, but I sense the Force within you. It is dormant but strong. The Force is a power unlike any other and those who wield it are capable of incredible feats.

Luke: Like what you did to that woman.

Revan: Chuckles. That was just me getting warmed up. There’s a lot more I can teach you if you are willing.

Luke feels something that makes him believe the Jedi. It’s a stirring in his guy that he can’t ignore. So instead he nods his head as the two leave Tatooine behind.

The galaxy that Revan woke up to is so similar and yet so different from the one he left behind. It remains torn apart by war, chaos, and bloodshed thanks to the corruption of the few. But at the same time, there are no more Jedi, no more Republic. No more Mandalorians. That last thought brings a smile to his face as he takes Luke to Cather to begin their training.

When they see Revan and his mask, the Cather elders hail him and welcome him with open arms. They provide him with a space for which to train. Luke begins training. Thinking back to his Jedi training, Revan teaches Luke about the Force and how to channel it. The jungle planet of Cather proves to be an ideal environment due to its rich fauna. This closeness to the Force allows Luke to feel the Force all around him.

But he does not put much emphasis on the Jedi code or other rules like that. Instead, he focuses on purely practical and spiritual aspects of the Force.

For that reason, he also teaches Luke about the Dark side of the Force, showing its powers to him and how they can be harnessed in battle. But he warns him of the dangers and how it can distract him.

Luke takes all of these lessons to heart and soon develops into a skilled Jedi in both lightsaber combat and harnessing the Force. Once he is skilled enough, the two begin venturing out on missions, traveling across the galaxy to challenge the Empire.

    I'd like to think that Revan would have had an easy time of potentially recruiting Bo katan & the remnants of the mandolarians. They would both hate the empire.

    And I think that Revan training Luke would have been a good thing, teaching him more about balance, both in the force & himself.
    I can only imagine how things might have been different if Robin had trained Anakin.

    And I'm curious as to what kind of conversations revan might have had with the Jedi council. Many of them probably wouldn't have accepted him. They were a lot like the Jedi council he left behind

    Save Luke? Check.
    Train Luke in practical lessons and demonstration to reinforce learning? Check.
    Diss Inquisitors' subpar training? Check.

    Excellent!

    What if Emperor Palpatine got so bored after ruling the Empire for 5-10 years since Order 66 and decided to abicate his throne to Vader so Palpatine can start fresh to create his own faction to rebel against Vader's Empire to take over by force for sake of challenges and thrills? Basically New Game Plus but opposite (or jsut starting new game with handicapped rules for challenges)

  15. This is a good story in the context of our old understanding of the force, but with a more modern perspective, it doesn't make sense. Since the dark side is an inherently corruptive and corrosive entity, you can't use it without succumbing to it, no matter how in-control of it you think you are, what reason you use it for, or how little you use it. The urge and the desire to use it increases as it warps your mind and infects you, making you more power-hungry, selfish, and sociopathic.

  27. So Wait, When Revan Was Training Luke, Did Luke Build His Own Lightsaber? Because Master Kenobi Gave Luke Anakin’s Lightsaber As His Very Own, Plus Ilum Is Under Imperial Control So Where Would Revan Help Luke Obtain His Own Kyber Crystal And What Color Would Luke’s Lightsaber’s Blade Be In This Timeline?? Also, I Love How Proud Revan Is Of His Padawan

Why do I have the feeling that the mere idea of Revan awakening during the Empire Era and finding Luke would not only give the Sith a run for their money but is also a very bad thing for everyone involved…specifically their enemies. Plus it’s nice to see an amazing ‘what if’ centered around Revan finding Luke because for some reason it just makes sense for Revan to train Luke and turn him into one of the most powerful warriors ever because I always felt that these two are some of the strongest characters in SW history and is just so beneficial in so many ways and they would definitely conquer any challenge that’s thrown their way because they wouldn’t stand a chance against battle hardened warriors and it would fit perfectly well within the SW universe. Plus, who doesn’t love a good Luke and Revan teaming up adventure…afterall a badsass Jedi being trained by both a badass and LEGENDARY Jedi is just so beautiful. Also the voice acting for Luke, Revan, HK-47, Obi-Wan and Leia was just amazing.

    I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s:

    1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling.

    2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever.

    3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this.

    4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st)

    I hope these are some amazing ideas for some potential What if’s
