I imagine Kanan wwould have been more stable and sure of himself, for being able to spend a year with Plo before going out into the stars, and knowing Plo was there for years after that. By the time Plo finally faded, Kanan had Hera and the Ghost Crew, and the triplets headed out with him, and knowing the hidden Temple was somewhere they could go… Well I watched a video at one point about how good a Jedi Kanan was, and one of his biggest issues was a lack of confidence. This story, I think he would have had more stability.
