I think this stoey was kind of tragic in a way, wholesome yes. But it was ancient and kind of like LOTR, evil vs good, old religions and armies and sects vs ancient rivals. It's kind of a statement of how old and how much history there is with the jedi. There's should've been more evil and more sects that could threaten the jedi. It would've been interesting to explore a GALAXY worth of war, history and nattles. I think at a large scale, the jedi are way more than they are potraid as.

How about Vader knew Leia was his daughter when her pain at seeing her man get tortured made he mind scream out. That mental scream Vader acknowledges. He then takes Leia away for DNA & Midiclorian testing. Luke shows up on Bespin. He feels Leia nearby. Vader tells his daughter that her twin brother has shown up. And go from there.
