In defense of the Korra vs Tarrlok point, while she absolutely went there intending to intimidate him, it was Tarrlok who attacked first, and his opener was a blade of water that sliced his desk apart, aimed at her neck. That could have gone nonviolently, he's the one who escalated to a deathmatch from a conversation.
I would personally say that desiring the Freedom of People is a Chaotic trait, for the purposes of determining her actions relative to doing the Earth Kingdom Prison Break.
I think the avatar world is a true masterpiece they made a real good job with worldbuilding and there is so much to explore, as long as they serch to make something good and not a moneygrab or something like the movie(we dont thanks about that) it will be great
I used to hate Korra when the show came out, but after several years and at least 3 rewatches now. She is different but goes through a similar emotional arc (grappling with being the avatar) she is head strong and impulsive but that is what aang lacked. I will say the relationships (early in the show) are the weakest and most frustrating part of the show.
As excellent as it'll be for fans to have an Adult Gaang series, I feel like the series will need to move on eventually. Pull the bandaid off, move forward, decide what Korra's final legacy will be for her eventual incarnation… And if that incarnation will have any way to reconnect to the past, or if they're gone for good. By all accounts, the Avatar franchise was practically built for generational storytelling like this… And Korra's writing crew being told 'this is it, you'll never get another series' kind of broke that in half.
Entire wan story shits on continuity of the original show. Gonna say its a huge L take to say that the Jesus/Satan carpet's inclusion is anything other than a terrible and piss poor decision.
The history lesson about 4chain of all places being excited for new Korra episodes back in the day is such a crucial point in all this. Someday when there are film & television marketing textbooks written about the digital age, Korra is gonna have to be included when talking about the dynamic between audiences, writers, and producers.
I'ld say she starts at true neutral, maybe leaning chaotic neutral because of her ego. (She's didn't care about being a hero at first. She just liked the pristege of being the avatar.) I also predict that she's gonna get 3 true neutral dings for the time she was out of commition, due to being poisoned.
I loved Korra and still think for all the struggle it had I thought it a good ride. Is it the greatest ever no, but it's pretty amazing for what it had to push through
10:30 No, I agree. Chaotic good. The first half where she saved the people is definently good. Intimidating Tarlock was a foolish, but morally jutifyed move, given the cercumstances.
12:25 My understanding of that sceen is that only the bending she allready learned how to do was bloked, which humbled her by forced her to rely on airbending, which comes from a more spiritual culture.
Legend of Korrra is the superior "Avatar" series to me. The Last Airbender is a lovely show, that touches on some really dark things, but the humor is shallow and I could never empathise with the archetypical characters. Korra is objectively worse in regards to pacing, story sophistication and the fact that it feels like each season was written in a single nightlong drug-fueled writing session with Freebird in the background… but the humor hits for me, and I could always relate to Korra facing expectations because of her immense talent.
I could never argue in good faith about Korra being objectively better in any area, but the subjective texture is something entirely else. Basically, synesthesia is the interlinking of different senses. From a synesthesia point of view, Legend of Korra is textured like a basketball, easy to hold onto and engaging. Last Airbender is like a snowglobe, there is no interaction with the contents of a glass sphere smoother than Aang's head.
Ngl the whole Avatar One Good vs Evil spirits breaks the world for me. In Aang spirits were not good or evil, they had different morality. They didn't get corrupted by satan kite… That's the main issue I have with worldbuilding

Damn, you didn't hold back with that intro
In resume, The Legend of Korra is a good series, but Korra herself no so much do that writing difficult.
I never watched Korra past season 2. Lost cable tv so it got left forgot. Thank you for covering her 😄

23:00 can we please give more props to the ultimate anarchist character voice actor Henry Rollins?

I'm calling it: Chaotic Stupid
Korra is kind of a bitch, not gonna lie.
Seto Kaiba? Dany Targarian?
Your good I like the legend of korra series
I like Kora more than Aang, but then again I'm not all about ATLA
I'd love to see an alignment on Naofumi from Rising of the Shield Hero
I tried to watch Korra after it wrapped, but I never got sucked in like with Avatar.

Pls update your playlist with all this stuff
Don't like her, and I'll just leave it at that.

What DnD alignment is Askeladd, Vinland Saga?

I feel in love with Korra when she said "I AM THE AVATAR AND YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT".
You know a character you need to do before you decide to stop making these is discord from mlp
Might I request Sombra from the Ask King Sombra ask blog?

No alignment ding for burning the ancient airbending artifacts like an asshole?
I guess I'm am outlier when it comes to how devisive she is because I don't love or hate her, I'm just disappointed with her.

Well Korra is far from an marysue, she has an attitude but she is also very flawed 😆
