  1. Tim Burton understands the balance of dark n light for a comic book movie. The recent Batman movies are just dark n real, missing the fun and whimsy that are the signature of comic book settings.

  2. As a kid, I absolutely loved Batman Returns and preferred it over '89 because it was darker and more gothic. It almost feels like a black & white movie with very little colour. Classic Tim Burton. As an adult, it still holds up and still my favourite from the original series of films. I haven't watched it since the 90's though, so must give it another look.

On top of that, in the current climate of prequels and sequels with aging characters/stars, there's no reason WB couldn't at least have a "look" at maybe giving Burton the opportunity to make his third and final film even after all these years. I'm sure Keaton and Pfeiffer would be down. It would just be a case of figuring the villain. It would certainly be an interesting approach and challenge.

  3. Those people being mad and complaining that it was too dark, y'all not true Batman fans!! The material is really dark, always has been. Even it's early years of campiness had a dark undertone to it. Hell even wonder woman could've been considered bondage! Because it was! I hate hearing people complain when a dark Batman film drops, bruv it's Batman! True fans gravitate to that because it's so close to the source material

  4. At the risk of being unpopular, as a kid, I loved Batman Forever and preferred it to the first two films. This could be because I was a massive jim Carrey fan but also because I felt the film was closer to the camp tv show with Adam West I had grown up watching with my parents and loved so much. I actually found the first two films too dark and I guess I preferred the lighter style. As an adult, I now enjoy the first two more than I did but Batman Forever will always be the film I loved and queued up to see on the day it was released all those years ago.

  5. Whoever the narrator of this video is they don't know shit about shit. Because there's not a Batman film to date that is forgotten or forgettable. And that includes Batman Forever.

  6. I don't really like Tim Burton's style of film making but his Batman movies were damn good! I liked both movies, probably the 2nd one even more & Joel Schumacher's Batman's was GARBAGE 🗑️!!!! 🤮🤦

  7. Joel Schoemaker did nothing wrong. I watched and enjoyed Batman Forever and Batman & Robin for what they are: A different Batman Approach and to be honest, the colorful presentation was very VERY comic-style and stood out. Sure, it wasn't really "Dark Universe" like Burton Batman but people hate these movies way too much than they should… And i think Alicia Silverstone was an amazing Batgirl. She was super cute in that movie and i miss that natural appeal in modern Hollywood movies. I'm pretty sure in a different timeline Burton's third Batman movie may exist but could have also flopped really bad and doomed the "franchise" there too. But i also love the idea of TwoFace being portrait by Billy Dee after he was very underused in Batman '89. Robin Williams as the Riddler would have been a blast. Imagine all the ad-libbed lines he would have given us. Damnit…… now i miss him so much again… 😢

  8. I remember when Returns came out wondering why I hadn’t seen it(why my parents hadn’t taken me) but being such a little kid I was just stoked to play with the toys so I never really even questioned that much.
I remember just a couple years after Returns came out I finally did see it and I honestly understood why my parents didn’t want me to see it, because it scared the piss outta me. 😂

  9. So you’re telling me, we got two of the least well received batman films just because parents got all butt hurt cause Returns was dark? THE FIRST ONE WAS DARK FOR FUCK’S SAKE. JOKER LITERALLY FALLS TO HIS DEATH
