  1. Immigration
to Mars is essential to Earth because Earth is becoming overwhelmed with people.
It is destroying the air, land, and water, causing diseases !
    It also causes poverty !
Earth needs to shed about 2-3 billion people in order to be sustainable .
In my opinion Immigration to Mars is essential to life on Earth !
    DML.

  2. So why can't they produce 1 G while in transit and have 1G systems on Mars that will allow for no problems. Perhaps a system that everyone would have to go through every day. Then perhaps they need the magnetic force field to go along with the gravity. That could also be designed into a system. Better than have these space people get abnormal effects on their bodies.

  3. Totally impossible mars js a waste of money you'd have to spend $10 million a day tk keep people alive on Mars
    Same with the moon.
    There's nothing on other planeta
Going there is a complete waste of money

  4. Lmao……” looking like he’s going to punch out another flat earther”.
Can you IMAGINE saying to Buzz Aldrin that the Earth is flat ??
Lol…..he saw with his own eyes the Earth from a distance far enough away to see the entire Globe. But tell Buzz that he really didn’t and that he is crazy. No wonder Buzz is such a firecracker. Personally, even at his age I wouldn’t even mess with him on a physical level. He looks as rough and tough as ever.

  5. Hardly anybody talks about basing all AI on Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics. He foresaw the threat of renegade robotics more than half a century ago, and planned these laws as a safety feature.

All computers to my knowledge have a PROM, of Programmable Read-Only Memory; once set, the programming cannot be changed. Laws could be passed requiring the Three Laws to be programmed into the PROM. Every hardware unit could be marked certified to have the Three Laws; any lacking this certification would be treated like unregistered firearms.

(A possible downside to all this is that comparing every command a robot receives against the Three Laws template could slow down processing time; it would be like running every civil law or regulation no matter how trivial through the U.S. Supreme Court to see if it's Constitutional. There would have to be ways to streamline that procedure without compromising it.)

  6. I think it’s irrelevant now or ya all missed the Congress hearing on UAPs ? We have had craft of non earth origin since 1937.
Yous should spend our energy and capital on reverse engineering some of their technology

  7. 1. Well over 90% of people going to Mars will not come back; similar to the first American colonists.
    2. The jobs needed on Mars will be many of the jobs we need here on Earth; doctors, scientists, engineers, teachers, chefs, law enforcement, government, staff, manufacturing, distribution, etc.
    3. The main industries on Mars will be research and mining for the foreseeable future, however, due to the existence of the AI Teslabots, a typical inhabitant can probably expect a more utopian lifestyle of a shorter work day with more leisure time, e.g., no more 40 hour work weeks. All it will cost you is all of your Earthly possessions, including your house. SpaceX will become the largest real estate firm in the world in a matter of a few decades making Musk the first Trillionare.

  8. 1) why? there's no need to go to the Moon, Mars or Titan. Gerald O'Neill posited the solution more than 50 years ago= VERY VERY LARGE ORBITING STATIONS. landing on Mars or the Moon requires fuel. the same for taking off those bodies. where do you get the fuel, and oxidizer? 2) space radiation and micrometeorites. Moon or Mars bases MUST BE UNDERGROUND. so, Elon has this all planned forward, selling thousands of his Boring machines to make tunnels under Mars or the Moon. 3) FOOD. drink your neighbors recycled urine, eat a full vegan diet, no cheese, no beer, no wine… do not dream of a 2255 Dom Perignon bottle for your wedding. getting it to Mars will exceed the Mars budget, unless your name is Elon XXX. 4) has anyone thought of what the first settlers do with the first case of tooth cavities, appendicitis, or, DARTH VADER forbid, PREGNANCY? unless Musk has read "Brave New World" and your children are bred in labs on Earth. 5) It's easier to use nuclear powered, or solar sail ROBOT spaceships to mine the asteroids, Titan for its methane and ammonia, Europa for its water, and bring it all to the Lagrangian points around Earth, and build stations that rotate at 1 g over the next million years.
